It still has me bewildered how packer up and deserted our great club for the scum. Yes, by all counts packer is not half the business man his dad was (losing gazillions in casinos etc), but back in the day I was led to believe he was a Rooster supporter. Crowe latched onto Packer when he was trying to make it as a Hollywood producer with RatPac. They seem to have become close then.

I think Packer was never more than a casual fan of our club, even when he was on the board. Unlike his mate Gyng, who could name you sides from the 1980's and bleeds red, white and blue.

we've been very lucky to have nick. hard to see how the club would have survived in the 90s without him. never played the game but he's probably the most imp rooster ever. how else could a club like the roosters survive given the changing demographics of the east?!
