Not sure if it was game plan or not. But i noticed our props not providing much go forward. It seemed like the backline was doing most of the carries. Thoughts?

Agree, I thought the forwards as a group didn't take as many hitups as they should have against such a big team.

We have just as many big boppers as them, baring Tasi all of forwards were not charging onto the ball!

the interesting thing is, the hitups they did take, they were effective more often than not, either attracting 4 - 5 players to bring them down or they bent the line gaining extra meters.

i would not be suprised if they are shaking off the off season though, first game out of the way, improvement from here.

That's what it looked like to me.
Gives us some hope for the year. I like what I see.

Not one of our forwards made 100M. Four of theirs did.
Our 1, 2 and 5 made 54 runs and 446M between them. Their 1,2,3,4 and 5 made 43 runs and 358M between them.
Mini, Carney and Perrett should have their cars detailed by our forwards.

The outside backs getting out of dummy half has been our pattern over the last few years. In 2010 it would be Perrett followed by SKD, followed by Mini or the other winger more times than not, particularly coming out of our own 20m area. The forwards don't seem to do too much until we get outside the 30m.
