Tobes 1 million % every coach would wants him. I know he’s painful at times but every coach loves his aggression & that’s a massive part of footy.
He was shown the door and even let off the final year of his contract. That tends to indicate Robbo didn't want him.

I am not saying he is not a great player. He is. But Robbo doesn't want him in our club.

I think you’re remembering when Bennett shifted him to centre for 20 minutes or so in the middle of a game because he was so unfit he was spent. But he always started at fullback.

if we didn't want him we wouldn't have offered him was it 800k. he wanted to think about it and then we decided that we didn't want him. he did great things at the roosters and then we parted ways - nothing to see here. he'll always be a roosters hero to me.

for those who hate souths, in the big scheme of things, his hit on joey - which was reckless, not deliberate - was the best thing that could have happened. our 1% chance of wining the comp was extinguished but souths very realistic chance also went. they were a missed conversion away from probably winning the comp anyway and if latrell was there they probably would have won it.

but no dramas, people like a villain and latrell fits the bill

              That's nice.

Do you understand that something happened in that process that made us decide we didn't want him at our club anymore? Yes we did offer him a contract. Yes we did want him when we offered him a contract. Then something happened that meant we no longer wanted him anywhere near our club. They didn't even want him at pre-season training.

the hate is strong in this one ...

like i said, we offered him a lot of money cos we wanted him and then he umm-ed and ah-ed - and maybe other things came to light - and then we didn't want him. the world keeps spinning

i guess what i'm saying is - in the big scheme of things - joey's broken cheekbone stopped souths from winning a comp. would it have been better if latrell missed with his shot and souths win the comp?

The way I remember it: The Roosters offered the 800K and Mitchell shook hands with Nick and agreed. Then Mitchell decided he was worth more and wanted to look around. That's when the Roosters pulled the offer..you cant shake Nick's hand , look him in the eye and agree and THEN change your decision for more time.....

That's why the Cadaver is number one on my shit list. Latrell Mitchell is a footballer with a lot of talent. Wayne Bennett is...in keeping with the litigious nature of the universe, I will say...not a person of good qualities in my opinion.

JT, Robbo wanted him that’s why he was offered a contract (even after he was found out talking to the Bulldogs during the semi's) but when he didnt sign it & said to Robbo/Nick that he wanted to listen to other offers he was shown the door. The bottom line is the Roosters & Robbo wanted him but he wasnt so keen on them. Like I said every club/coach would want him even Robbo.
If the Roosters didnt want him or Robbo didnt want to coach Latrell then there wouldnt have been a sh!t fight when he left & everyone would have been happy but everyone (the Roosters) were far from happy.
When he signed for Souths well that was the straw that broke the camels back for most Roosters supporters. Latrell left because in his mind he wanted to play FB & I think he believes that he is a better FB than Teddy & when the Roosters offered him a contract & a very good one to play centre he baulked.
I think Latrell the centre position & the Roosters are the best fit & maybe one day they can reunite.

                              • I think it’s a disgrace that people on here still think Mitchell is relevant. He’s played for another club for two years now. Us continually commenting on him shows how much we miss him. It’s time to forget about him and move on. I wish this thread would disappear.
