If women want to play footy...that’s great. Good on them, they deserve the opportunity regardless of the skill set.

Whilst at times the NRLW isn’t a great spectacle, you can’t deny the passion that the women play with and they give 100%. And that’s why I will support them.

I think the arguments against Women playing League or any Sport are rather strawman and chauvinistic based ones.

One could say that since the NRLW comp starts before the NRL Men's comp that the Men's one is riding on the coattails of the Women's game.

Come on, now you are just trolling. I'm happy for them to play. I just don't consider it to be professional sport that can support itself through public interest and paying customers. Moreover, they are clearly trying to get the existing supporter base of the NRL to support this.

Woke is an English adjective meaning 'alert to racial prejudice and discrimination' that originated in African-American Vernacular English.

In AUS we do have legislation covering a lot of situations/social issues etc long before it was labelled as Woke though.

Are people "promoting a woke culture" or just wanting the current legislation to be adhered to though in a range of situation's/social issues etc. People against" Woke culture" may well be arguing against something for no reason at all because it's a requirement under the relevant legislation as per below.

what's woke about the nrlw? it comes straight out of business 101. with soccer and afl encouraging women to get involved with their games the nrl would have been silly not to fight back. time will tell if there's a market for a women's league but it's worth a go.
the argument goes that if more women play league there will be greater interest in the nrl and that argument has something going for it.
