  • Those Blind fox "experts"

Surely these blokes were watching a differant game to me, they kept harping on about the vermin pack totally dominating the Rooster's pack, Inglis being a constant theat blah blah blah

The only thing that kept souffs in the game was the machine Burgess and those blokes with painted on eyes in pink.

As i have said in a previous post, all three of their tries were the results of bad call by the fools in charge, at one stage in the second half the penalty count was 8-2 with 5 straight penalties to the vermin in the second half, piggy backed them up field, not their useless "dominating " forward pack.

Fat arse Ingliss was totally owned by Maubs, Alice the Goon tried his hardest to run over little blokes like Pearce and Morts to no avail.

Matt Johns is a farken guess, he was clueless as the host, Tallis was an average footballer, his comments are below average, Gasnier added some insight and i thought Enniss was at least had an "unbiased" view.

AS for Laurie Daley, well he is my second cousin so i cannot be too critical, yes i can, he was a chooks fan as a kid, but he hates us with a passion, so ram that up your arse ya big nose gronk.

My advice is don't watch it. They are morons. What about Alexander he tipped us to finish 15th and yet he tips Penrith to finish in the 8. Seriously he has nfi. In early 2002 Alexander tipped us to miss the semis. When we won the GF I rang him up and reminded him of his idiotic prediction, he said we only won because Canterbury were kicked out he then cut me off. An A1 tool if ever there was one

I honestly thought Souffs were all over us in the forwards we just couldn't slow them down at the ruck. I agree though the penalty count is crucial, when you can start a set in the other teams half you always have a good chance of scoring. Especially them their goal line defense looked pretty ordinary, we strolled over twice under the posts and Pearce and Aubs almost did as well. I think Souffs could have a good season close to the line with Taylor and Burgess on the edges they are hard to hold out.

I didn't mind the commentary anything that takes Freeman off the air I will support.

They were all over us up front. Apart from the first 20 mins when they kept dropping the ball, they hit the ad line on nearly every run. Burgess was a machine.

I agree with what you've written here Rusty and your last sentence cracked me up but also raises a question. Why does your second cousin hate the Roosters so much?

Well they did slightly dominate us as they had a glut of possession but they fail to recognize how good our defense was for it.Also mostof our tries were scored by forwards.
In the end they must admit Souffs are just a dumb football team.

Both teams forwards were quite even up until Souths had 70% possession in the first 15 minutes of the second half. Our forwards tired very badly from that point on. The only exception was JWH who is a psychopath with a massive ticker.

Penalties aside, retaining possession has been a problem for us the last few seasons. Many times we have had the opportunity to dominate possession by aiming for line dropouts to tire the opposition forwards. But instead we constantly opt for the all-or-nothing play which ends up have the reverse effect of handing possession to the opposition and tiring our forwards.

I don't mind Greg Alexander. He is quite articulate and objective most of the time. Laurie Daley's mumbling idiocy makes my ears bleed.

I think the souths pack will dominate most teams whilest they have the main men on the paddock..problem is they only get a certain amount of timeout of them..its when they are off the field other teams who spread the dollars around on depth rather than 3 big names, will take advantage of them.

Out last try was around their left side of Inglis and Taylor after a wide shift...specifically taylor...damaging when fresh...but a bit of a defensive liabilty when tired. This even takes into account the amount of possesion they ahd ..if it was more even he would ahve been even more fatigued.

If its a slog Souths could be fragile if a more mobile team starts shifting the ball... I guess thats always the trade off.

Whilst I love your Passion PWN (get a smaller moniker) they are right. I have watched the game 4 times now. Our pack was dominated and inglis did cause plenty of probs out wide. In saying that, Morbs did an admirable job on him and I am glad he was marking him. But our pack was definitely struggling with the size of their pack. And I think the only reason we were in a position to sneak a win was because Asotasi kept dropping the ball. We were Damn lucky and the best thing smith can do is make sure our team is aware of that, otherwise penrith will spank us whilst we are still smoking cigars and chomping on caviar!

I think their pack is simply a little more battle hardened. I don't think anyone can question the quality of their pack. Burgess is sensational. We have some great potential and we will build on that performance. Mose was quiet and Kennedy was clearly underdone. JWH and Tasi were strong in the opening exchanges but I felt Souths got on top once they went off.

Tallis seemed to take it personallly for some reason. He got a little spiteful after we won.

Agreed. What more could you ask for in a forward? I really hope we retain the Beast. I love the bloke.
