Think he has a clause to leave to play Rugby ..cant remember but for the next Olympics possibly wouldn't be for world cup Aussies is a waste of time.
Destined for the forwards but I would play him in the backs for a few years yet still only 18 as it was for Moz he will have to run at me and get through me then he makes the grade
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

I don't see him playing in the forwards at all. Just because he's big doesn't mean he can't play fullback or centre. Inglis made a pretty good fist of both. You don't buy a Ferrari and use it to plough your field

Faster game etc he would be a sensation in the forwards..as I said not now maybe when he is about 24

I agree, down the track I can see him filling a SBW type role with his size, athleticism and offloading ability.

I suspect we will lose Keary to the Dolphins in a couple years' time but Teddy will hang around another year or so. Hopefully Suaalii realises the fullback spot will be his for a decade after Teddy leaves.
Keary will be a massive target and a risk to lose. Halves of his quality are rare as hens teeth. You've got Keary, Munster, Cleary, Adam Reynolds ......then daylight to the rest. With the talent more evenly spread with the entrance of the Dolphins, it will become that much harder to keep everyone.

I reckon a real possible outcome further down the track could be:

            1. Manu or Sualli
            6. Tedesco
            7. Walker

What makes any of you think that Keary or Teddy would have any intention of leaving? And why do some of you assume you know what age they will both retire?

Our very capable and decent management will always look after them. They have also seen others around them stay for less money and new players sign for less money. Plus they are captains. Keary in particular is well settled in the Eastern Suburbs. I highly doubt he’d want to move his settled young family.

I see the kid as a large body fullback in the future similar to Tommy Turbo and GI. I see him starting off as a centre and slowly transitioning to the #1 spot.

I mean ... isn't that predominantly the reason why we got him ? to be Teddy's successor ? I don't see how he'd fit into the forward pack, even though there are comparisons to SBW but as he'll take on a starting role hopefully and get some mileage on his legs and start to become conditioned to the rigours of playing consistent first-grade footy ... he may end up leaning/shredding up a bit ... so yeah I think he's going to to end up as a fullback for us and worst case a centre.

100% correct, I see them both as lifetime Roosters, and both playing til they are at least 34. I can't see why either of them would leave a club they love, with a great system and support, great facilities, a brand new stadium, living in the Eastern Suburbs and being paid well with a realistic chance of playing fro Permierships every year to go to any other Sydney club, let alone going to the Dolphins.
Apart from their salary, I am sure there are long term future benefits of playing for Uncle Nick's team. There is much more to it than the dollars. The stability and continuity of residence, the additional prestige of becoming a Roosters legend.
If something should happen to end Keary's career, such as head knocks, I think it is a definite possibility that Teddy could make a move to 5/8th, if he can develop a kicking game, but even if they both stay fit til the end of 2027, that is age 34 for Teddy and 35 for Kez, then Suaali will only be 24 at the start of the 2028 season, so could become our fullback then, or could be a backrower, who knows what will happen in that time, or who else will come through the ranks.

Who knows what’s going to happen in the future in regards to players staying, leaving or retiring but one thing I do know is the Roosters will work it out.

Agree completely. I don't see him ever playing in the forwards

The kids got the ability and physical size to be a great player what position he finishes up playing is anybody's guess .Lock forward or second row is my guess .reminds me a bit of sonny bill but i reckon this kids bigger and faster than sonny which is a scary thought for opposition teams. The thought of tackling joseph running toward you is a scary thing. Where do you hit him? Try to take him ball and all and he will probably run right over the top of you ,go low and he puts the hip into you and nocks you into next week or swats you off with a palm. Shit i wouldn't like to be a fullback watching this kid coming toward me at full pace thankfully he is playing for us.

interesting comparison sbw and sualli ...yes he does have a lot of natural gifts . however it does not mean he will be as good as sbw , does he have that instinct, that strength, football iq sbw had ? passing ability of sbw, committment , mental strength etc

the best comparison is when a young player is said to have speed , but there is straight line speed which although been useful is nowhere near as dangerous as football speed , where a slater, teddy , b stewart whilst not the quickest in straight line speed possess instinct and the ability to change direction at the drop of a hat. that is what is dangerous on a football field .

When Suuali can handle 26 weeks of getting smashed, I'll believe he's the next big thing.

You might be a bit late, he will probably already be a big thing by then.

This kid is the real deal.
