But if he takes up his player options, I think that will play perfectly into our timings, given that he and Manu will resign till 2024, by then, Teddy and Kez will be about 32, not too sure if they will stick around for much longer. But as soon as they wrap up, that opens up a spot in the halves for Manu and fullback for Suaali. Given that they are mentor and mentee, that's already going to give them chemistry and if they'll be playing with Sammy these next 2-3 years, they should be aligned perfectly with him assuming the 7 role and taking control of the team.
I think that could be the future in 2025:
1. Suaali
6. Manu
7. Walker
9. Cheese
8. Collins
10. Haas
Then the likes of the other up and comings the Butchers, Va'as will be sprinked into that core lineup.

Dont forget, Teddy has a playing weight of 99kg.. I believe his fitness will play a larger role if Fullback is an option.

I' m sure that the Roosters have a succession plan well laid out, to cover the next few seasons, none the less, the retention to long term of players such as Walker and Suaalii will be a sweet victory in itself, if realised.
Waratahs, as dreadful and hopeless as they are, will salivating to the thought, of snagging Suaali, and in Sam Walker's case, you'd have the brain of a demented peanut, to think the Dolphins wouldn't make a huge play, when contract renewal time trots around..
None the less, they're here and we are probably OK....None the less confirmation to us worrywarts, of undying love to the team, would go a long way to boot niggling doubts, right up the arse.

I dont think he will be in the team for Rd1. Teddy Tupou Manu Keary Momorovski are 100% in the backline, Walker for me is also 100% so that leaves 1 spot on the wing up for grabs between Billy Smith, Naiqama & Suaalii if he is fully fit.
I think Billy Smith deserves first crack then Suaalii then Naiqama, I would have no problem with any of them. They'll be playing outside of Joey so it should be good fun.

Smith will be given game time in lower grades...
But that's just my interpretation which carries zero weight...haaaa
