Try this one- but don't try it at home- You can see why concussions are a major problem in NFL - Helmets don't eliminate concussions

Even had Deion Sanders who played top Level NFL (14 Seasons) and MLB (9 seasons) - only Athlete to play in both a Superbowl and a World Series and a standout in both of these sports especially when playing for the Atlanta Falcons (NFL) and Atlanta Braves (MLB).

They're very similar to Easts - a glamour team and very strong in the 70's with the iconic Tom Landry and Roger Staubach - the original Roger the Dodger/Captain Comeback.
And of course everyone hates them although the hate has died down because they've been so poor since the 90's, but once they start winning Superbowls again, they will be the Roosters of the NFL - most hated by fans and Refs and always having biased umpiring against them.

I love Easts first and foremost by light years, but Dallas are probably a very distant second sporting team for me. There's so many parallels with Easts - the glamour, the envy by so many other fans, getting dud decisions all the time from the umpires etc..

isn’t there an American football site somewhere you can all huddle up at and talk about jockstraps, ‘special teams’ and throw some flags?FVCK CANCER

Its not what I see - some of the tackling is harder than anything I see in our game.
When I mentioned Mixon, I was just being objective about what I see in the US game.
He was running through and over the top of players, he has a sidestep and is evasive, and if you didn't notice in quarter 1, he was hemmed in against the sideline .
So what does he do- he accelerates and almost gets away.
So he is big , runs with the power of one of our forwards, is elusive and bloody fast - not too many in the NRL that will do that..
If you think that hits in our game are going to be harder than theirs, think again.
Physics.
Force = mass x velocity.
Fact - Their players are way heavier than ours , and are way faster.
I would also rather listen to opinions on hardness and toughness on the 2 sports, from people who are open - minded enough to watch both, and are interested in both games.
If you follow rugby league exclusively, don't you think it is a little naive and narrow minded to say our code is the toughest in the world?FVCK CANCER

in saying that, I do think the game is getting softer with recent changes over the past few years but player welfare needs to be at the forefront to protect players however player welfare to protect against litigation is where the game is running into problems and we can thank our friends over at the tough NFL for that.Last edited by rented tracksuit; 02-17-2022, 11:55 AM.FVCK CANCER

Two completely different games really. One is all about explosiveness and power while the other introduces stamina and durability. Of course the players in the NFL are bigger and faster, they are trained and conditioned that way. The players don't have to worry about sustaining their speed and power for long periods of time because it is essentially a very stop start sport with lots of breaks between plays, very little fatigue factor compared to rugby league.
