Sandon Smith has huge potential to be the guy to replace Keary. As a half he's a better playmaker than Volkman though Volkman has the better running game. It just depends on what we see with Walker the next few years and who will complement him best.

Good side. A few fringe first grade players which will make the game less of a complete snoozefest. Equally happy that we’re not risking anything crazy for the first hit out. Suspect most will be available for next weeks trial (final trial). Canberra have named a relatively strong squad (in terms of what they have available), so it will be interesting to watch tomorrow night and how our youngsters go. Keen footy is back.

Agree last years game was so impressive the young guys stood up. You could see how much the kids wanted to work hard against a more experienced team Ben Thomas tackled everything even his shadow.
