One of my sisters lives about a 100 metres from Central Coast Stadium and she drove down to Sydney today and said it was the scariest drive she has ever done, she sent a video of the water on the road at West Gosford but i have deleted it off my phone.

Should be re-opened before then - The Central Coast Roosters Andrew Johns , Laurie Daley and Harold Matthews Cup sides play at Morry Breen Oval Central Coast (Kanwal) on Sunday 27th Feb

That sounds scary Horrie. I’m glad she made it ok.

I was there too.. it was pretty scary with the car aquaplaning on a few occasions. Lots just pulled off the road and stopped and I have to say I thought about it as well. Having said that it will well and truly be clear by then.

Hey lads I was planning on driving up there tomorrow night so would love to have some updates on the roads. Is it still shut/will it be okay to drive there tomorrow night?

              Cheers

Thanks mightyrooster, yes she made it ok, sent a video of the water on the road around West Gosford and it was pretty much looked liked like what Renman described in his post but she said the M1 was terrifying because cars were still sailing along over 100ks and with water spraying up everywhere and the rain the visibility was poor.

Might actually sack driving and just get the train up there.

                        Anyone else thinking similar?

It’s amazing how some drivers don’t think it’s necessary to adjust their speed to the weather and conditions isn’t it.
