  • Vale Warnie

Just saw on a news item that Shane Warne has died at age 52 of a heart attack.

I know it’s not rooster related but some sports people leave a huge mark on your life and I grew up watching him. In shock.

I can't believe it. It's just so sad. Can't sleep tbh.
Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. My heart goes out to his 3 kids, its not fair to lose a parent at such a young age.
Not only did he revive the art of leg spin bowling but he was the greatest spin bowler of all time.
I'm sure he will be bowling to Bradman in the nets in Heaven

Woke up from my sleep for a piss, before I went back to bed quickly glanced at my phone and noticed about 6-7 different news notifications from different sources so thought what the hell is going on here - found out Warnie passed. Could not believe my eyes and now can’t get back to bed. Absolutely shattering to see that, so out of the blue. He was a true Aussie icon and leaves the same bitter feeling inside you as when Steve Irwin passed.

So sad to see his last tweet was about Rod Marsh’s passing.. How fickle is life. Very sad.

        RIP Warnie you Goat.

That will bring his average back to the pack! F@ck Warnie what a complete competitor - when Warnie was under the most pressure personally ( normally brought on by his own actions) he was at his best - he'd take 7-. Privileged to be around to see so much of him in action we were. I can't believe it

Gone way too young. Will go down as one of the World’s greatest ever sportsman. Legend of the game. RIP Warnie.

              Insane... 52!!!!

I'm not a cricket fan (and am a lesser fan of Warne for his continued nicotine addiction & more recent plastic surgery... or whatever the hell it was). However this guy was way too young and an iconic player.

Will try not to speculate but I wonder how it happened. He was in a villa in Thailand (which says nothing per se). Guess none of my business but I feel for the guy. No matter who you are, 52's young. Shocked, ay. RIP buddy.

[Edit: sounds like he was going through some 'operation get shredded' plan. Don't wanna hijack the moment but would say it's a warning that nobody's immortal]

I’m stunned. Warnie was an immense talent on the field and a larger than life character off it. A flawed genius, but a genius nonetheless, he brought so much pleasure to so many who watched him.

                  RIP King.

Now wouldn’t that be something to see . I’m not sure even Sir Don would handle “the ball of the century “ that made Gatting look ordinary.

                    RIP Warnie

I’m a huge cricket fan. I remember watching him bowl at the peak of his powers. I watched his whole career really. I’m just in total shock as he died way too young. Practically the same day as Rod Marsh too. RIP Warnie.

The only guy who made cricket during that Australian run bearable, his F@k you to Steve Waugh at Wimbledon was great. Loved his honesty, will miss his commentary too, because he said what he wanted.

                          RIP Warnie.

Only my opinion but I reckon Warnie has overindulged on the blow with maybe 2 or 3 Thia beauties in a 6 star resort in Thailand.
Sort of a fitting way to go for Warnie.
                            RIP Warnie
