Man, dude's attracting a lot of publicity.

Constant stoushes, the All-Star rumble, huge interest in his signature, and now the spectre of a rival code ..

He's rapidly developing a hell of a profile.

    Our next human headline.

Or have i been reading too many posts by conspiracy theory Chook fans?

Welcome to the dark side Adolf! And yes, that sounds perfectly plausible.

Are there any player managers on the chookpen forum to weigh in on this?

It would seem to me that when negotiating with a young gun like JWH, it must surely be a somewhat persuasive argument that, by not going for maximum overs from us, we have best chance of fielding a winning team for him to play alongside (not paralyzed by salary cap); staying put at a club he is helping to get back on the rise; short-term contract maybe 3 years with option; if successful with us, then look to upgraded package and he will only be 23, so plenty options if chooks project not working out; AND, stability of staying with one club, playing with guys you already know well.

The kid has talent and potential of as yet unknown magnitude. I would be disappointed if our guys can't find a successful way of approaching this.

Other thing. Sick of the "hothead", "guilty of silly penalties" comments about JWH, when you contemplate how much you, having just carried 3 tacklers a generous distance over the goal line to score, would like to be strangled pointlessly, after the play has been made for a few seconds? Pretty understandable you want to take some physical action to deal with that. Should have been 8 point try, easy call for refs, but hahaha...well we had other things already to worry about with them.

It's interesting that no one cared about Morley getting penalised but JWH gets bagged and is expected to be an enforcer. There has to be a price limit on him but he is worth plenty IMO although certainly not 400k

I think JWH will only get better. He has only been playing league for about 5 or 6 years. The Roosters would be mad to let him go. I would let Kennedy go before JWH.

Every time he runs out I just want to bust out into a haka!

I hope we keep him, hes got the mongrel Morley (bless him) had and he takes everything on the chin. We need his agression and competativeness when it get tough.

              JWH, kia kaha!

A 23 year old player with a bigger heart than Phar Lap, who would die in a ditch for this club versus a 28 year old (by the time he gets here) player who only cares about money, fame and his ego being stroked. I know where I'd put my money but then I also know where the brain dead morons who run this club will put their money.

A deal with the Waratahs has been on the cards for a while.
