The mens game is the show piece always has & always will.
I commend you for liking the womens game & there is nothing wrong with liking it but all the men & women that I talk to about the footy don’t like the womens footy.

Baker is more of a backrower for mine.
Ben Thomas is my preferred choice to be groomed. Young bull with aggression never backs down.
The Va'a lad may feature in a year's time depending on injuries and readiness.
All those Haas doubters or haters who don't rate him or don't entertain the thought of him in RWB should get their head read. His work rate and stamina is undeniable.
If he's successful in his impending court case against the Orr brothers I bet clubs will be fighting amongst each other for his signature even at his asking price....$800-$900K per annum.
I'm all in on Haas as Toups is the only one who seems to make yardage early in the tackle count.

I work with quite a few sub continent folk who of course any cricket match on they'll watch it - they rarely watch the NRL but have been watching the NRLW - saying you as in me say league is a hard sport to play - mmm not too hard they say if Women are playing it

I really don't understand , the hesitancy of some, to embrace the W game.
Quite liberating watching femmes tumbling over each other.

Collins realised he farked up again and should probably buy a lotto ticket.

Daniel Suluka-Fifita reportedly ran for 174m on the weekend when you stack that on top of his performances in the two trial matches he is certainly banging on the door of first grade selection, might not be this week but if the forward pack disappoints again DSF might get a spot over the next couple of weeks.

There is so much interest in the Norths bears in this forum, because our future first graders are on show.
So why doesn't t the NRL schedule their games before the Roosters first grade?
I for one would turn up to the SCG an hour earlier before the main game, just to see them have a run.
Like in the old days - u 23's, reserve grade , then firsts.
Memo to V'landys & Abdo : I am not interested in watching the NRL women's side.
Despite their charms, I just can't see any of the NRL women's squad forcing their way into the men's Roosters NRL lineup.

Its been explained a 100 times on here why its not possible.
So fill me in, genius.
I understand that Bears vs Storm, Broncos, Warriors, Cowboys is impossible.
But Souths, Dogs, Parra, Sharks, Saints, Tigers, Riff etc ate just down the road.
Why is it not possible?.
Preserving the playing field from stud marks?

Preserving the playing field from stud marks?- The Team is North Sydney Bears whose home ground is North Sydney Oval
- NSWRL run this comp as well as the various Junior Reps-Pathways/Country divisions/championships etc under the one umbrella now - CRL no longer exists having merged with the NSWRL back in 2019.
- NSW Cup games are usually played on Saturday although the Bears seem to have quite a few Sunday and a few Friday Nights games this season
- As you can see from the draw below a lot of the NSW Cup teams play at various suburban grounds and not the ground the NRL side plays on
It makes it hard this year when NRL teams can have 24 players - whittled down still to 19 -24 hours before kick off - one assumes some if not all of the 5 players cut will need to still hang around on match day in case there are any COVID withdrawals.
If the Bears play after the NRL game like last weekend then it is viable for those 5 players to be available to play for the Bears - not so if the NRL game is after the Bears games though as the players would most likely not be released to play.
Also out of state away games maybe be an issue in getting back to play for the Bears - there are 10 Sydney based teams plus Newcastle and Canberra in the NSW CUP.
I can't see it myself that it will ever go back to 3 games on the one the day though like the old days - Under 23's/21's/20's/ Reggies and 1st Grade.
Best bet would be 2 games - NRLW/NRL at the same ground - when all teams have a NRLW side this would most likely be the scenerio on match dayLast edited by King Salvo; 03-15-2022, 07:03 PM.
