  • NRL Judiciary Changes

Not surprised the NRL had all off season to announce this but decide to leave it until hours before kickoff.

A win for a few of our lads:

“Every player will begin 2022 with a clean slate with player records reset on a rolling 12-month period since their last offence”

So in Round 2 if Latrell elbows someone in the face and breaks their jaw, the fact that he’s done it twice in 2 games won’t be taken into account when determining his punishment?

Also if someone is on a charge from a particular club, the panel should not be allowed to have former players from this club involved in the hearing. For example if a Souths player is up on a charge then a former Souths players shouldn’t be on the panel.

And Luke Patten appears to only have half a brian. Why is he held in such high regard?

Wouldn't be the NRL without a rule changes hours before kick off to Round 1.

People did complain about the loading's and carryovers so that is a win win one would say.

The question to ask now is the grading's - what constitutes a grade 1 / grade 2 / grade 3 offence under the various foul play offences - High Tackles reckless are grades 4/5/6

The following is a more detailed explanation of the Match Review/ Judiciary Changes - see Revised Indicative Table with Amalgamated Penalties

Loading has certainly hurt us in the back end of the year so I think it will be beneficial for us.
I have been against Loading so I think it's a win for common sense in that players have paid the price for early guilty pleas only to be bitten later in finals.

"Every player will begin 2022 with a clean slate."

Jarred and Rads are now clean skins.

I like it TBH. Sounds like...
                - A fine is treated like a parking fine. You don't end up spending 12 months in prison after accumulating a few over the years. You pay-up and move on.
-Players are given a clean slate every year. This will be great for players who have been intentionally targeted by refs following rule changes.

                > The loading system, long criticised by coaches, came under fire last year from South Sydney and Latrell Mitchell who missed the grand final.

Geez they think up some odd examples. He was suspended for a particularly nasty grade 2 reckless (still an automatic 5 game ban), not due to an abnormal amount of p!ssy little loadings
