Two attacking fullbacks

Just listened to the Daily Tele league podcast and Buzz Rothfield suggested that Momirovski will defend at centre with Manu defending on the wing. Only for Manu to play as a second fullback in attack. A bit like the NSW side did with Tedesco and Trbojevic.

Now for all of Buzz’s dribbles, he or his connections would be attending training and would see the positional play of the team and have an idea just by watching. Guess we will find out on Sat arvo.

Manu is more effective at wing or centre than 5/8.
The wing position is still evolving but all I know is you have to be tough to play on the wing. You have to run so farkin hard & you have to be able to rough opposition players up & get them over the sideline.
Wing has always been considered to be the position that you dont want to play but with the game changing & becoming faster & the players fitter wingers are now 100kg's & have to play like a frontrower.
I dont think you can have a player named at centre but lines up on the wing to play as 2nd fullback.

I loved what Tom Trbojevic has been able to do in origin as a centre-come-roving 2nd fullback. And would love to see Manu replicate that for Easts. I also think that not every centre or back could do it as effectively as Turbo and our Joey. We are so lucky that Manu has extended with us as he is gonna become more of a weapon in attack over the next few seasons. As good as he has been over the last few seasons, I feel that his best footy is still in front of him

Wont be long before coaches use my idea of the non designated /floating dummy half.

Th old days a hooker was needed for scrums as it was a contest but of course not any more - not sure how it came about that the hooker become the dummy half though maybe convenient to have that position in that role?

Hookers are not always the dummy half during the game as other players take that role during sets so why not extend that for the full game.

If you're going to have other players playing a different roles and positions in attack and defence why not a non designated/ floating dummy half role.

I will leave the deep thinking to you guys and Robbo. I just want to see Manu get as involved as possible to give us another very credible attacking threat. A reason for other teams to fear us even more.

Manu, Keary, Teddy, Walker, Sualli, Victor and next year Smith.

obviously makes sense for joey to get his hands on the ball more but don't know why he'd call it 2 fullbacks.
having momo defending at centre sounds a good idea. interesting to see if it happens.
