According to The Daily Telegraph, the 29-year-old will be interviewed by police over sexual touching allegations made by a woman in the Sydney suburb of Mascot.

St George Illawarra have released a short statement confirming their knowledge of the situation.

"The St George Illawarra Dragons have been made aware of a matter involving one of its players by the NRL integrity unit," the statement said.

"The Dragons are working closely with all parties as the matter is under police investigation.

"The Dragons will be making no further comment at this stage."

Burgess returned to the NRL this season and made his club debut for the Dragons in their round 2 loss to Penrith.
No doubt another setup orchestrated by the Roosters.

        HAHAHA. Brilliant

As for Grub Burgess, what a putrid club the dragons are too. What is going on down there. Imagine if that was us.

So LM is allowed to mock 10,000 or so Storm fans, but Smith isn't allowed to mock Mitchell?

He's with St George now ay? Innocent until proven guilty but god those guys seem to have a knack for attracting allegations of sexual assault. Sailor, de Belin and now Burgess... not saying anything wrong's necessarily happened (de Belin's not guilty and Sailor's defending himself) but they seem to be out an about a lot, making contact with the opposite sex. IMO there's a lack of decision making going on at very least.

A mate used to play for St George in the mid 2000's and he was always bragging about wild group sex sessions and stuff after a big night at 'Northies'. I thought it was just 'the footy boys' but it may well just be their culture. Whereas I feel that our guys are mostly in stable relationships with quality women... makes a BIG difference to your own stability/maturity IMO!

IMO there's something weird about the nightclubs down there. I woulda go anywhere near them... my image is that there's a lot of troublemakers hanging around. Thought they'd all learned!

Yeah I wasn't convinced that his brother was 'innocent'... the guy drove unlicensed for a decade, had drugs in his system while driving and admitted he'd threatened to punch the cr@p out of a grandpa.

George... wasn't he previously convicted for smashing up somebody's car with a street sign he'd pulled outta the pavement?

If I were Minister for Immigration, I'd send 'em all back to England as they fail the character test

That's my understanding... never quite got what he was doing there.

                        Yes they are quality.

The todger-flashing dick-pic testicle grabbing hair pulling one even got to keep driving after being pulled over coked up and unliscenced.

There was footage doing the rounds of Sam pumping some girl in the gym at the time he was supposedly with his wife. I know I always bang on about hookers and brothels on here but that’s just to make you all laugh. I think cheating on your wife and ultimately cheating on your kids is a real dog act. Sam really showed his true character here. He truly is a great ambassador for South Sydney.

[QUOTE=Mickie Lane: If any NRL player farks up from any club it will make the news.

Exactly. And before a pile on starts finding GB guilty as charged (in the same way that Russia is "guilty" (ie jumping to conclusions on the basis of no evidence but the ranting of the MSM), it might be salutary for us to think of the alternatives to "disgusting red & green pervert - sack him!".

Might there have been a love story gone wrong? A prior come on such as that which -Ism described in his discussion of Fergo's woes in the Fergo thread? A provocation? Whatever, the court will decide as it did in the brother's case and we should leave further comment until that happens.

Our media, perhaps because it gets so much flak, has formed a kind of brotherhood - a criticism of one is a criticism of all. They are still smarting over the outcome of big brother's case and they'll be loathe to keep quiet on this one.

Take the MSM and the Kimberley Kitching case. The Libs ain't got nothing so the cheer squad tries to make a hounding to death case over a factional struggle. Would there have been the same reaction if t'were a male?
In life Kitching was a Labor right factional warrior seeking a high profile. Like most on Labor's right the only thing distinguishing her from the Libs is the blue collar affiliation. She was a vociferous hawk on China and was a member of the Lib's ridiculous "Wolverine" China hawk group. Little wonder she was unpopular in the Party and slated to lose pre selection.

Surely each way Albo can't keep stammering through questions on their latest fiasco, and actually launch an inquiry? It's pretty serious stuff with this mob asking people to give them power.

Anyway let's not let our resident activist troll derail yet another thread.

Back to Bargarse and his quality family review...
