Taumalolo's on that big contract 1 mill plus a year up to 2027 which is 10% or so of your cap - that's way too much to pay for a player who is not playing big minutes and with the faster game is less effective as well.

Even if the Cows paid 1/2 for 2023/24/25/26/27 - some other club would have to fork out at least 1/2 mill or maybe more.

Munster, DCE, Hunt, Walker, Mann, Gamble and a few more are the only players available (and realistically I dunno if you'd consider anybody other than the first 4 I mentioned... certainly not the last 2).

He court well get a run! IMO he's more of a Munster style half though, so they'll opt for DCE/Hunt as the stabilisers/managers.

How old's DCE now though? It seems like forever since he was given that 'for life' contract on $1m a year. He looks tired IMO.

It would be absolute madness for the cowboys to pay $500k + to improve another team. The freed up cap space wouldn’t be enough to warrant it.

Yep. Sammy will probably play 30+ SOO games throughout his career. But none will be this season

Yeah that would certainly play out. IMO they'd almost pick Gamble after Munster/DCE/Hunt purely por his size if it's Origin.

Watching Walker get targeted by NSW forwards (totally fair game) would be really shyte to watch. Give it a year or two though... he'll be fully jacked (plus have a premiership under his belt) and I'll be avoiding games coz I don't wanna see him put cricket scores on NSW.

The cheese is a loose cannon, on and off the football field, but a brilliant footballer nonetheless.
I expect Robbo will know how to handle him, and also add some polish to the guy.

Saw the game from the Brewongle Stand on Friday and what amazed me was the ref. Consistently he pushed the Rooster back 12-13m in defence and Manly only 8. How does a dude lose 5m depending on the direction he is running? Really tried to play Manly back in the game and to a limited extent, he did.
A few people bagging Billy Smith. I see him as a really good prospect . He positions himself well and tries to get involved. I would like Manu to do this a bit more. Love Manu but he seems to go missing or am I wrong?

I think Joey Manu might be a little gun shy , maybe even until mid-season.
