I’d imagine the source behind this rumour have mixed up the Sydney roosters with his current local footy club also named the roosters. Lol

He is the dumbest person in Australia, but would be awesome to have him on the right just to make good metres on the kick return. Lost a lot of his speed, but still has a fair bit of power.

I'm not saying I have a clue but there seems to be no legitimate source of this rumour. Maybe Grubber knows.

          • Billy Smith injured every fortnight (as sad as it is, it is true).
          • Kevin Naiqama hasn't really set the world on fire and he's a bit of a defensive liability.
          • Joseph Suaalii is still very young and a work in progress.
          • Vuate Karawalevu is still young and a work in progress.
          • Adam Keighran is more of a centre at best and can be a defensive liability but he will probably get poached by the Raiders and may see limited games for the Roosters this year.

I'm not in support of his off-field dramas and issues plus in all honesty, the less negative attention we have on our club, the better but Ferguson isn't a bad player to have and his right side combination with Manu in 2018 was underrated and lethal at times. However, I don't think the NRL will approve and this is probably someone misinformed creating a rumour purely based on Ferguson playing country footy with the Thirlmere Roosters side. That being a "Roosters" side must've triggered someone to join the "imaginary" dots and link him to the NRL side.

          Let's see what happens ...
I cannot imagine him being signed as he was on one year deals all the time at the Roosters in case he mucked up and his episode in Japan would rule him out in any case

You don't need the highest IQ to be a good footballer.
Having him and Joey on the right side, both powerful footballers, would cause opposition defences some headaches.
We all recall BMoz still killing it in his mid - thirties.
Ferguson playing Country football is a complete waste of talent.

He seems past his best and, even if he wasn't, not sure we need him.

What this would do is send a message of no confidence in any young flanker, desirable of stepping up.

What is with these independent, fan made rumour pages linking all these players with us?

Saw this morning a article online now linking us to Semi. Apparently we will be battling it out for his services along with the dolphins. Source? This rugby league website LOL.

Excatly. Would hate for a young talent like JS to think he was behind Fergo and start talking to other clubs, who would promise a starting position

Semi Radradra’s is 29 so has a few years left in him although he is returning from major knee surgery - suffered the injury playing Rugby 7's for Fiji at the Olympics - 94 NRL games for 82 tries.

By the looks of below Radradra wont be going anywhere

Depends on what they want to do with Joseph Suaalii who is 18 and turns 19 on August 1- give him a full season or so in NSW Cup to get more footy into him in a less pressure comp - I don't think myself he is ready for week in week out NRL at this stage of his footy career.

2023 is when they would be looking at for him to be a regular NRL player perhaps?

I'd love to have Fergo back . Sure he's a few years older . He does kick returns like rhino , kicks goals as well . super athlete . And he loves the Roosters

If he's that good why wouldnt you have him in FG, Folau, Latrell & GI were all talked up when they were young & came into grade at 18 & lived up to their reputation. Terry Hill burst onto the scene young & I just dont know why they dont throw Suaalii into FG in the centres now. I want to see if he can be a Latrell, GI or Folau

I think he has a bit to go to be a regular NRL player - If he was killing it as they say in reggies you would be looking at him for NRL for sure

Yeah which is odd after all the hype, right?

Guess we'll know what's going on when we need to know. My suspicion is that he's playing injured and needs some time to get his body right for first grade.

That said, is Reggies softer? I picture it as being comp where the forwards aren't necessarily smaller (dumber and less fit maybe, but still big/strong) and if you're a big name player, lotsa dudes are gonna trying doing big hits on you and stuff as their single moment of fame. As a player one of my biggest fears was guys who lacked fitness/technique as they could injure you doing stupid shyte (whereas better players would hit you hard, but fairly & would appreciate your welfare).
