Again couldn't agree more. Ben Ross was pretty much begging for a contract and absolutely killed it last year, the club can't use salary cap as an excuse.

JWH was the only forward who has any intimidation factor & the Roosters cannot let him go.

Maubs in the centres never works, he is our best backrower & needs to be put back their straight away with Cordner coming of the bench untill he puts on another 10kg & learns FG a bit more.

It's been the same now at the Roosters since Pearce & Anasta have been the halves that their is very little spark, off the cuff, explosive plays.
SKD whether he can tackle or not is the only player the Roosters have that can make breaks or score tries from nothing. BJ Perrett Carney all try hard but just have no thrust in the backline. The game plan for the Roosters in general has to change, the way the backs are used is just boring & they have No impact. The spine for the Roosters is just dead,, individually all good players but as a spine they give nothing. Mitchell has to start.
Guerra solid but not good enough. Cordner is not ready.
FPN looks good to me but is not getting enough game time & being replaced by Arona which is another mistake IMO.

In saying all that Penrith are our bogey team & I sort of knew that they would get the Roosters, anyway I cant see things changing this week so next week against the Raiders is going to be another very hard game to win.

Not building pressure with repeat sets and going the short / blind side when we have momentum killed us.
It wasn't Pearce dropping the ball or making stupid plays... I'll agree that he was bad but unlike you & your loathing of all things Pearce I can see other points that are just as bad or even worse.. I refuse to blame 1 person for 8 forwards being bloody useless... I refuse to blame 1 person for the backline being an in-effectual byline..

He is an origin halfback with over 100 1st grade games, he is the chief organiser and leader, the "goto man" he controls the kicking game.

There were 15 ordinary players today, he was easily in the worst 4 on field.

MItchell, one of my favs BJ, Anasta the others.

Our forwards were nowhere near the worst on the field

              Take your blinkers off mate.

Pearce played shit but we are get farking owned up the middle. We can't keep a team in their half even when they are forced to work it off their line.

I can't blame our forwards. JWH and Kennedy were good. We just didn't seem to have a game plan, any direction or cohesion. It was ordinary at best. We also have a very poor backline lacking any quality or speed.

Absolute rubbish in our last 13 games against them before today we led 8wins to 5

But you only ever blame 1 person mate. Our forwards were dominated in all facets & were totally pathetic in their own rights. Watch it again, Penrith controlled the play the ball area all day & the forwards were 2nd best all game.

I know we have one of the best scissor lifts in the league as for our forwards they are a great pack just badly coached and look very slow and unfit

That's 2 forwards out of 10 mate.. Very damning evidence in my opinion..

                              Good thread.

We have the softest pack in the comp for sure.

If they weren't such softcocks the attacking potency contained in our backs would be unleashed.

I feel sorry for our backs.

They're doing all the forwards work and then are expected to put on some moves.

We are expecting too much from our backs because they are being badly let down by our forwards.

                              Soft as a tontine.

                                No blinkers required

We had as much if not more chances than the riff today.

When you have a kicking and attacking game as inept as ours, you are giving away mtr after mtr with no effort at all.

WE have a young pack, kick to the corners, find touch, repeat sets.

Midfield Farken Bombs and kicking the farken ball dead should not be in the game plan.

But it must be because that is all we seem to do.
