I think they had the battering rams pretty well covered. Souths replicated Newcastle's game plan - up and in the face. Our stars are short on able accomplices Billy Smith seemed most focused on just catching the ball tonight, there's not a lot to his game. We've got great halves, a champ fullback when he's on, Radley, Joey, Sitili, Toups, maybe Connor and that's about it. The others are competent but I feel that the rest of the competition has left us behind somewhat. The good sides are strong all over the park like Easts used to be.

No, not yet. I and everyone knows what JWH is capable of when he's switched on and firing on all cylinders. He was a beast playing what was pretty much career-best form for us last season, he didn't play in the trials and he might take a few more rounds to get going or perhaps he needs to start instead of coming off the bench. JWH is like an old school naturally-aspirated V8 engine that just needs some time, and driving miles to really show his value. JWH had a long and tiring season last year and the signs are showing it early in these rounds but it doesn't mean he won't find that good patch/run later on in the season !

I never said once that JWH should retire so don't get my rant confused. I said that "Fletcher Baker" needs to be replaced, that's it !

We're simply a shadow of our dominant 2018-2019 side !

SERIOUSLY ? HOW ? WHAT HAS HE GOT TO OFFER WHICH I HAVE NOT YET SEEN ? ... I'M SORRY TO SAY BUT THIS VIEW/OPINION OF HIM IS BECOMING STUPID ! THE KID IS A RESERVE GRADE PLAYER AT BEST ! ... I DON'T KNOW WHAT ROBBO'S FASCINATION IS WITH HIM, HE MIGHT BE A TOP PERFORMER AT TRAINING AND DRILLS BUT COME GAME TIME AND HE'S OFFERING BASIC LEVEL UNDER 20s STUFF OR GETTING PUSHED BACKWARDS OR ONTO HIS ARSE ! ... ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !
              Upper Case !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baker played only 15 minutes tonight /14 minutes last week and 22 minutes the first game- not sure how he can be blamed for the losses though

Chooks have played 5 ordinary halves of footy one has to say with only the first half vs Manly at a level which would make them a more than competitive side if they could replicate anywhere need that over 80 minutes week in week out.

As I said on another post they need to look at the roles that Keary/Walker and Tedesco play in attack - If as Robbo says it's Keary's team then he needs to step up as he had a quiet game and Tedesco take a back step from trying to do it all - pick his moments - Walker as well.

They certainly need to work on ball control and improving set completions as it's ridiculous to keep mentioning poor ball control/set completions after every loss.- Fix it

The losses can be more than attributed to the following stats- There is a correlation between low possession % / set completion % and high error rates (handling errors/missed tackles) and poor discipline.- The more defence you have to do the more errors you will make as fatigue sets in

              Knights game- Lost 6-20

              1st half - 0-10

              42% possession - Set Completion- 14/22 - 63%- 24 missed tackles / 6 handling errors/ 4 penalties conceded/ 2 set restarts conceded

              2nd half 6-10

              49% possession - Set Completion - 12/18 - 66% - 17 missed tackles / 6 handling errors/ 3 penalties / 0 set restarts

              Full match

              46% possession - Set Completions - 26/40 - 65% - 41 missed tackles / 12 handling errors/ 7 penalties/ 2 set restarts conceded

              Manly game- Won 26-12

              1st Half - 22 -0

              * 65% possession - Set Completions - 24/27 - 89% - 10 missed tackles/3 handling errors/ 1 penalty conceded / 1 set restart conceded

              2nd Half - 4 -12

              42% possession - Set Completions - 8/16 - 50% - 28 missed tackles / 8 handling errors / 6 penalties conceded/ 1 set restart conceded

              Full Match

              53% possession - Set Completions - 32/43 - 74 % - 38 missed tackles/ 11 handling errors/ 7 penalties conceded/ 2 set restarts conceded

              Souths Game - Lost - 16-28

              1st Half - 6-12

              45% possession - Set Completion- 13/19 - 68%- 18 missed tackles / 8 handling errors/ 3 penalties conceded/ 2 set restarts conceded

              2nd Half - 10-16

              43% possession - Set Completions - 12/18 - 67% - 18 missed tackles / 5 handling errors / 4 penalties conceded/ 1 set restart conceded

Our completions are a massive concern. We can't win a premiership completing at 60 ish % and falling off tackles. That crap equals L's and they will keep racking up.

seriously hold onto the the ball and make your tackles you knobs - back to basics ffs anything else is beyond us at the moment.

Baker is so slow. It’s like we have another Napa. I wish he’d put on a hit or something. Certainly not the reason we lost though. Give Fafita a go. Was terrific in reserves.

Don’t worry about JWH. Was great last year. He hasn’t just lost it in 6 months. He usually takes a month or two to get into his dominant form.

Absolutely spot on Paddo, we are a good average side, win a few-lose a few. A look at how Fitz has the sharks playing wouldn't go astray.
