Just a friendly reminder that Robbo has been very very consistent when it comes to how he builds a season, I think people need to remember that even in 2018 some on this forum were calling Cronk a "has been" and a dud signing after the first month of footy.. we have a very young team and have lost a ton of players who were our anchors. ALOT of souths tries tonight came directly off the back of errors that were made due to lack of patience and experience, its going to take time but we will get there... If we look like this in 2 months time then I will start to worry a bit.. till then lets just be realistic and stop with the hysteria.

Oh piss off - we were shit and Robbo needs to lift in finding a way to beat these scum. I'm fkn over this complete domination they have over us recently.

not nearly good enough - we have a soft centre

Completely agree. What they dished up last night was awful, but they proved they can be physical and direct last week. We just lost our way. Robbo will no doubt tighten the screws this week. After hearing how dirty Teddy was in his performance in the presser I’m expecting him to come out and dominate the cows

It’s just a worry that we can’t fire up against our arch enemy. Where was the leadership last night. Where was the leader to tell everyone to be patient. He was too busy being impatient and pushing ridiculous passes.

I really think Robbo tried to downplay the rivalry for this game, I have no doubt that due to the Latrell incident he didn’t want the boys getting too emotional because we saw what happened last time we did that (the arrow game), as for Teddy I have always thought he isn’t a great captain sadly.... he doesn’t need the extra pressure of leadership imo and thrives just playing his game, I think his captaincy is more about having a lack of option than him being a truly great leader... losing Boyd and Jake has really hurt us in that regard and it’s going to take time to recover.

I’d like to see Teddy as vc, he can definitely lead on the field with his energy, but I don’t think he has a dominant authority when speaking, even in the press conference last week, he seems so disinterested and fidgety, leaning on his hands and rubbing his beard the whole time. It shat me watching it.

teddy sort of just fell into the captaincy, I would prefer keary as sole captain.

If we win next week and ply well I will definitely be saying we played great - but we are not great are we. If we lose we can still play well. We are not playing well at all though. Completions are not everything but they are a start - our completions are deadest horrific. The rabbits scored another three that were disallowed - it should have been another cricket score. We were crap we were crap against the knights and we had one great half against the eagles. We have a long way to go in the season which is good because we have a long way to go before we can be called a contender.

but you are right if we start playing well my opinion will change - why shouldn't it?

We have a decent run for the next 7 weeks, being Cowboys, Broncos, Warriors, Dragons, Bulldogs, Titans and Parra. I am confident we are going to have a 7 game win steak here with our combos right by the time we get to parra. If we lose half of these games, yep I would agree then that we are making up the numbers and the good teams will thrash us.

spot on. if anything there's more excuse for a disjointed start this year compared to 2018, with sammy w playing his first full year and keary easing his way back after an acl.

we will fix up our errors and blast a lot of teams off the park.

Weve lost our last 4 against the arch rivals… considering they’ve put 50&60 on us in a couple of those games just boils my blood knowing those farkers have rights over us again.. not good though from robbo and the boys last night.. simple.

Its a funny game Rugby League even when you have a fairly good team of players it still takes a big effort from all the players to be switched on & play as a well drilled team. Also the luck wasnt with the Roosters last night.
If Teddys ball to Smith was just a little better & Smith held onto it he probably would have scored but instead Souths scored.

No offence IRoosterManI but I'm with The Lip on this one. If I could see some signs of consistent improvement from game to game, I would agree with you. Across the three games thus far, the Roosters have only played well for about 30 minutes against a team that are seemingly equally disjointed. The Roosters were shyte against the knoughts and worse against the vermin.
