Souths Second Try

Now I wish to preface this by saying by no means did we deserve to win last night but I have a huge problem with Souths second try. I know Teddy threw a bad pass but surely Souths players got involved in that play that were never onside. Johnston certainly wasn't and he scored. In my opinion should have been an offside penalty

I was thinking exactly the same thing after the ref awarded the “try”, expecting it to be reviewed, but it never eventuated.

I was not at the game but it looked like a very skinny 10m, particularly when we were working the ball off our line.

Before the game, our mindset was to play with less emotion - maybe we toned it down too much on this occasion …

The Roosters were garbage for most of the game last night and calls such as the one you mention SunnyCoastChook didn't help. I haven't bothered to look at the "negative play" stats because I'm sure the Roosters lost that on top of everything else statistically speaking. Another shyte game by the Roosters last night when I was hoping, not expecting, better from them.

Agree we deserved to lose and were lucky some Souths players had butterfingers in the tryscoring and kicking for tries dept (AJ's misskick lol), but the OP is spot on. Walker and Johnston impacted on the play and were never onside. I was mystified why they didn't have a look at it to make sure.......

When Sitili coughed the ball up close to their line in the 2nd half, the vermin were a long way offside, as they were for most of the match. Focking double-standards by the match officials.

When ever we don't win they go looking for reasons of we got robbed, bad call, ref bias, bunker against us, nrl are against us.

Sometimes it may be hard to believe but we do play crap at times and deserve to loose.

Yes occasionally we get a dud call that cost us a game but we have also won games that has had a dud call against the opposition..

There is no way we deserved to win against Souths, we played poorly but is only early days and come the end of the season we will be in the top 4.

Not having a go at you, I just get sick of reading if, what and but post after each loss.
I think some fan look forward to not winning so they can blame everything except a bad performance.
