How to beat the Cowboys...
...play like they did against the Broncos.
Watch the tape, copy...simple.
Pick all the biggest, toughest players we have.
Headgear for all, shoulder pads for all, every time they get the ball "sit em on the butts".
"If you can't tackle don't bother ringing up (for a trial)" - Jack Gibson.
Teddy needs to stay back to field the grubbers.
Keighran must be the first player picked...right wing...or somewhere else. Cowboys have ace goalkicker.
13 mins from half time Cowboys had completed 10 from 11.Last edited by bondi.boy; 03-28-2022, 04:18 AM.

Buzz tells the world today, in print, how hopeless we are now, how "we all tipped them" to win the premiership this year...and how hopeless we've been against the top sides since 2020.
Nothing about "rolling 6 agains" dished out against us and in favour of just about every team we've played since the 2020 comp was canned and the new one invented.
Rolling 6 agains, penalties in great favour of just about every team we've played and do play today ...especially when we play the "teacher's pet" teams.
After the games are out of our reach we often seem to get some "sympathy" penalties.
It's so bad our mild-mannered coach was so upset by it last season that in a press conference he finally "snapped" with his
"circus music and streamers" rant.
Our team has to fight its way out of our end and up the field...while teams playing us seem to *always* get a penalty when it's their turn.
It's a wonder our team wins any games.

We are paying the price for our repeat success in the upgrades to contracts for our great players from those sides.
Everyone loves loyalty but it comes at a price and looking back we are paying more now for players that played their best footy 4 years ago, it is a common theme with teams that have had success.
I've stated before that the big contracts after players turn 28 end up hurting clubs.
It's what made Alex Ferguson successful for so long at Manchester he was ruthless in letting club legends go and replacing them with younger players.
We have a lot of good young players coming through and we might just have to show a bit of patience until they develop and Robbo can work his magic on the team.

We move into our new stadium soon.
We must at least make the 8 this season...to do that we have to win games...win games whatever it takes..props playing centres and FB, Teddy playing hooker, Sam Walker prop...anything.
After 3 rounds we are 13th on the ladder.
