  • Roosters v Cowboys

As they stand on the ladder next weeks game is between 13th placed Roosters & 2nd place Cowboys in Townsville.
Most would have said before the comp started that after Rd 3 the Roosters would be 2nd & the Cowboys would be 13th but its the opposite.
Are the Roosters certainties to beat the Cowboys?
    No in my opinion.

It's going to be warm min 23 to max 29 with rain predicted 4.3mm on Saturday 2nd of April in Townsville so it's going to be tough conditions for ball control and set completions.

Certainly not even close to being certainties against a confident looking Cowboys side especially at their Home Ground.

Head to Head 37 games - Roosters 25 vs Cowboys 12

I wouldn't say we were certainties to beat an egg at the moment mate.

The Cows have got us a few times as roughies from my memory, they will be tough.

Mick I think we really show beat them but like most on here we better start coming up with a excuse just in case .You know how it's everyone else's fault except the players and coach

Cowboys played well today, back row was fast and furious.

We will have our work cut out next week.

And we are some how $1.31 favourites, Cowboys paying $3.50.

Cowboys will run taumolo and others at the stilli and walker defensive duo all night. If robbo goes with the same outfit he trotted out against the bunnies we will lose .Fifita has to come in hes a hard hitter somebody needs to wack these blokes that are running over our halves, Sammy V cant come back soon enough for me this Hutch/Watson experiment isn't working too well for mine but there's not any other option ATM.I am here in Townsville and the weather is still really hot, high humidity even at night Cows are used to it were not, add to that 15,000 screaming cow pokes looking for a feed of cooked chook and i reckon were in a world of trouble this game. Happy to be proven wrong.

Either you reduce JWH, Gus or Watson game time or DSF plays same mins as Baker. Also being a middle, hows he gonna make a different to our edge D? I get your point but how’s the pieces come together to solve that.

Put him in the second row mate, drop Stilli He has been average to say the least and im being kind to him, Hargraves can go with him imo the way he is playing at the moment he couldn't frighten the kids into eating their vegetables at dinner and don't get me wrong i like Jarrod, , the pair of them would benefit from a couple of weeks at the Bears to get fit and work on their game, that would put Gus on notice and id be telling him too that he is off to the Bears as well if he doesn't pull his finger out ,hopefully then he might have a crack at trying to play like the origin second row forward that he is .God knows how you teach Stilli the fine art of defense at this stage of his career that's beyond me but i hold hope all is not lost as he runs a good line and hits the holes well in attack. Hang on I've missed another important piece that will impact our season , who the f##$% kicks goals if there not in front of the posts? oh yeah and while im at it put Sualli on the wing as soon as he is fit, Leave Momo where he is hes a great defensive center. How's that for a solution? Robbo gets paid a million dollars a year to sort out this shit and hopefully he starts this weekend or were probably the bottom of the ladder.

Silly odds we certainly don't warrant that level of favouritism on our form.
I think the comp is much more open this year with big improvement from some of the teams and a drop off from some of the heavyweights.

Unorthodox opinion putting DSF to backrow. I do however agree Sitili needs to work on his defence; he has a habit of hitting hips without any regard to his feet line or head position.
