Despite Sam being much younger and inexperienced I feel he needs to be calling the shots. Also, Keary was alway much more dominant on the left than right.

Teddy just needs to play fullback. Stop being a half and five-eight as well. Taking on too much. I thought he did that last year but last year he had little choice with so many guys out. It’s different this year. Leave the play making to the 6 and 7. And for god sake have some patience.

I don't think Sam needs to be running the team. I do agree he should be 7 and Luke 6 and swap sides though. This - oh the bloke in 7 is the shot caller is bullshit. Lammy didn't run the team when he was Freddy's 7 did he. Neither 6 or 7 ran the team when Freddy played 13!

Put Sam 7 but have Luke call the majority of the plays and let Sam override when his heads up footy dictates is the right time. Take the pressure off him and let him develop some combinations.

Teddy last year was amazing - he had to be. As a result he developed as a ball player and an attacking kicker of the ball. We need to still encourage that from him as it's a massive asset but he needs to pick and choose his input more discretely.

I think Luke will find his groove very shortly if we can hold onto the ball to give him some momentum. I think the rest will flow from that quiet naturally. I'm hopeful anyway.

Hitting the ball at speed at the line is what is missing at the moment .

Add to this footwork when hitting the line or any second phase play. The attack is predictable and easy to read.

Rugby league has always been a simple game , RUN HARD AND TACKLE HARD!!! That is that

We do this with the team we have we win the comp

Don't like him on the wing, then play him 6 or 7.
Sorry, but that doesn’t make sense.

Murray is 184cm and 90kgs, Rads is 182cm and 92kgs. So either Murray is also not big enough to play lock (which he does for NSW), or Rads is.

Also, getting concussed trying to tackle anyone is more about technique than size.

[QUOTE=bondi.boy; .......If our players are spent 15 minutes into games there is something drastically wrong somewhere.
Please tell me our players are not going to be run around for a 30 minute warm up in the humid FNQ heat before the match like they were against the Knights.

That humidity is a killer at this time of the year and with all rain (Remember that Darwin loss?). I've seen some big deficits up there in the first round and I'm not hopeful especially since the forwards seem to lack enthusiasm when things aren't going their way. Manly is the only side that hasn't effectively used D as attack. The Knights created the template - consistent line speed and into 'em. Prevents go forward, causes mistakes and hasty decisions and beats the Roosters. It's defence which is a level above enthusiastic, it's cohesive and brutal. Souths did it and the Cows will to...in that humidity.

He showed last year he could be special I totally agree there is potential. However this year he is completely stifling the entire attack.

A typical walker run this year - he skips to the outside of a defender looks up and sees defence outside that, props, stops, pirouettes anticlockwise runs back the other way steps off his left steps off his right - sees defender again props, stops , pirouettes clockwise this time - all forwards and other supporters are now either in front of him or level with him and completely flat footed so no one is in position to take the ball from him so finally Sam gets tackled for a net gain of minus 1 metre.

Teddy sees we aren't creating anything then tries to do everything as a result.

Get more direct Sam and our attack will click. Its all your fault. Well maybe not entirely but you are a big part of it.
I know people say that playing 6 or 7 isnt any different but I think it is & I would have Sam at 7 & let him learn to run the team & put Keary in the number 6 & let him float.
Sam is nowhere near the end product yet, all the great halves except Cooper were identified young but didnt dominate until they had played 5 to 6 years in FG & its from then till they retire that they play their best footy.
To tell you the truth I dont think the Walker Keary combo can win the comp & like Ive posted plenty of times if Keary goes down for the season then the season is over.
Cleary & Luai are the supreme halves pairing in the NRL or SL who have played together for at least 10 years including in the juniors, Keary & Walker have played 3 games.

Walker should be playing halfback and Luke playing 5/8.Stilli should be at the bears until he improves his defense having said that the cows will assist stilli in his endeavors to improve by giving him a bit of tackling practice on Saturday night in the form of Jason Taumolo .I do wish Stilli good luck however and hope he avoids any serious injury.

put me down for walker to play first receiver and keary to play his natural 6 game. i wouldn't change the numbers on their back but walker's more of an organiser.
i do think the pair will win premierships for us, and this year is still a possibility
