Chooks play Sat 7.30pm Qld time (6.30pm NSW time)
However daylight saving ends Sun morn.

Norths play at 3.30pm Sunday at Lidcombe Oval.

I can’t see the non playing reserves being able to make Sundays game unless they charter a direct flight.

    King will know

4 of the extended bench players have been selected in the Bears side this week - Keighran , Naiqama , Hau Tapuha , Atoni which might give a clue on them either flying back or not going up to North Queensland at all as not sure if all 24 make the trip?

Leaving Lam , Lussick and Whyte as possible travelling reserves ?- 24 hours before kick off the squad is reduced to 19 players

Only one possible flight from Townsville to Sydney on Sunday 3rd April - Departs Townsville 9:55 AM - Arrives Sydney - 12:25 PM.

So it is possible that any of extended bench players not playing could still play for Norths

Very interesting, Baker named to start for the Bears. Hopefully finds some form back in reserve grade as I think he offers something different to our other props when he’s playing well.

Excited to see how Fifita goes though, I’m expecting either a shocker and a sin bin or a breakout performance.

I'm having a nostalgia hit looking at NQ's roster as in a parallel world it's serious premiership material...
          - Taumalolo
          - Maclean - played for the Kangaroos didn't he?!?
          - Hess - big guy with a germanic name who was a gun in ~2015
          - Val Holmes - played for Australia
          - Jake Granville - gun player (benched now?)
          - Scott Drinkwater (I remember his debut... massive announcement over the PA system and I thought he was going places as he was a crafty ball runner). Now not even in the 18 though!
          - Hiku and Feldt... have been gun backs in the past
          - Townsend... the face of the 2016 premiership.

IMO if we fark around, these boys will do a job on us.

Plus add to that list the likes of; Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow who has more speed than Oxford Street, Tom Dearden who has had a resurgence in form and Jeremiah Nanai who happened to be a breakout star last weekend and yeah exactly ... if we "fark around" we could be facing a hot, muggy thrashing !

Surely being dropped for poor discipline and basically having a year off footy as a consequence, he’s learnt his lesson.

Lindsay hasn’t exactly set the world on fire the first 3 rounds and the go forward is really lacking. Maybe something more realistic would be Jared starting then? Either way, I’m not convinced Collins/TKO can get us off to the greatest start against a much bigger forward pack.
Just cause I disagree and let you know doesn’t mean I am trying to make a ground breaking statement. I don’t think someone comes straight out of reserves and straight into the first grade starting side when we have 3 others seasoned front rowers. The only way Collins will recapture his form is if he plays big minutes and ideally starts.

After watching him closely in reserves I hope to never see this guy in first grade again. I’d rather bring back a 50 year old Michael Appleby and put him on the wing than have this imposter wearing our colours. My 5 year old is a better defender.

Good to see he has continued his excellent trial form.

                    A very strange acquisition tbh.

I think Robbo and staff have probably realised this fact as well. It's only a one year deal for peanuts so it is what it is.

Also it’s possible he was hired to mentor the young Fijian team we have an association with. After all he was MOM in the SL grand final.

I assume Robbo saw what I saw on Friday. He would now know that signing was a mistake.

And Hastings won the equivalent to our Daly M. Really is reserve grade standard over there.

Yes, very likely he was hired to act as a mentor to the Silktails team and some of the young talent coming thru in particular Vuate Karawalevu, but we all know this was just a cheap depth cover acquistion at best (in all honesty).

MOM in the SL grand final is a good achievement but as "Thirteen" said, it really is "reserve grade standard" over there in the SL. I'm pretty sure Wests Tigers could go over there to the Super League and win the comp undefeated with Madge winning "Coach of the year", Luke Brooks winning "Halfback of the year" and so on as a comparison of quality.

With Naiquama not up to it and the fact Manu, Momi, Billy and Suaali all seem natural centres - it’s a surprising oversight from us to not have a specialist FG winger on roster.

Jury still out on Suaali as winger but he doesn’t look to have that yardage work in him, yet. Hope to be wrong.
