How's his defence? I reckon that's the biggest step-up when you go to first grade.
    He wasn’t really tested.

There is a left centre or left wing spot ready for him to call his own.We need a threat down the left edge besides Sitili
With all these massive wraps on him surely he must be progressing towards a starting spot soon.
know its a week or so old, but found a video on twitter of Suaalii's runs vs wests, seems to handle the physicality well enough.

guess its now just about him finding his rhythm and making significant impacts after being injured for so long.

Just watched the video. I would say in every single one of those tackles, if we were the defending team we would have had a six again or penalty given for being too slow.

            Thanks mate

Good signs he is will to do the tough carries and do them well. Surely is a better option immediately rather than Kev

That's what I wanted to see his runs off the line and he was impressive off that footage, really thickened up in the legs and late footwork off that big right foot step. He should be picked for first grade on the right wing, I'd love to see him running off Joey Manu silky skills.

              • Geez, he really looks to have thickened up. He's going to be massive when he finishes growing

Thanks for posting. They are using him like another Prop - every single run was one off the ruck and straight into the teeth of the defensive line. He more than handled it - drew four penalties I suppose because he won the physical battle.

He physically looks ready to me on that. They are obviously getting him to do the tough carries at Robbos instruction to test him.

                  • i agree - he looks good. he's also saying the right things - seems like the family was in a hurry for him to be a star yesterday but it seems like he's got a sensible approach to his development.
but he does look like he's going to be a star and maybe he's doing good things in first grade sooner rather than later.
