I'm expecting head highs, cannonballs, prowlers, cheap shots, late hits, eye gouges, biting, scratching, hip drops and knees in the back......and that's just in the Chookpen Absentees thread!

But really...expect another 2 pts I'm the bank, nothing less. Want to see the boys build on some much better combos from last week.

Easts by 18. (Providing Sam not goalkicking...).

Can I just mention that even tho he’s not playing this weekend, I fully expect suaalii to be in the team within the next 2 weeks. Ran for 211 metres for the Bears this weekend

What Roosters team will turn up?
Normally I'd be confident of smashing bronco pty ltd, but I haven't recovered from the Newcastle game yet.

Sam was the only one practicing at training yesterday.

We should win and win well but always wary of Reynolds in whatever Jumper he is in
I’m their drills yesterday they kept calling out “Reynolds”.

I'll be there tonight with the wife in bay 313,
hopefully it's not a long quiet drive home.

Very confident the chooks will get the job done

Im tipping Angus Crighton to play himself into form tonight. Origin is not far off
I’m in 316. Come say hi if you spot me. I’m 6’2” and I’ll be in a jersey Number 13 (of course) and I’ll have 11 and 10 year old boys with me, both in jerseys without numbers.

This isn’t an easy game as some would think. The boys need to play their best footy to get the win. Last year’s loss still irks me. It would be great to get 2 wins in a row.
Verrills was close but will be back next week.

If our forwards show up, we win easily - our backline will pile up the points.
If they don't show up, there's a good chance we come away from Suncorp as plucked Chooks.
For all the naysayers on Sam Walker's goal kicking, I think he is hitting the ball fairly well.
Against the Cows, the ball was coming sweetly off the boot, and goes in a straight line ( it doesn't seem to bend like other kickers).
The wide angle shots that he missed were only a couple of feet wide of the posts.
I think with some fine tuning and some more practice, Sam could become a very accurate goal kicker.

Drongo's will be up for this. In their eyes a win over us will discredit all the negative media they have endured this week and prove that they are still contenders with a well run club, unrivalled culture and an intelligent and astute coach. Ha Ha!

No doubt Haas will be looking for a big one (game) before his enforced spell. Would be a great if we can keep him quiet.

Looking forward to the Roosters moving on from the one step forward, two steps back routine and building some consistency in their performances. No complacency and plenty of ruthlessness please.

Also looking to see young Fafita carry his pre season form into the big time. Welcome back.

                        Go the Chookies!

Sio Siua Taukeiaho has been ruled out of the side.

Lindsay Collins has been promoted to start with JWH.

Fletcher Baker to come onto the bench.

Payne would be in the middle of Ramadan but will be out for a big game after the week he has had plus might want to impress the Chooks to justify his huge pay demands.
It's a joke that Haas is playing tonight, and the buffoons at the the NRL couldn't sort out his punishment in about 5 minutes.

Personally, I would've liked to see Renouf Atoni get picked on the bench instead (if he was available) but it is what it is.
