  • 6 agains

How many times have we received a 6 again on the FIRST tackle with 30 seconds to go in the first half or second half when the game is beyond us?

This is after the opp get consecutive 6 agains on 3rd or 4th tackle. An even up.

I thought this was a Sutton, Klown and Cummins specialty on us. Now it looks like Atkins has joined the 3 Stooges. So freakin obvious.

Worst rule ever. To hades with it.

I’m not conspiratorial, but it is pretty astounding how often we seem to get meaningless ones.

Thought quite a few could’ve been given to us in the first half, but c’est la vie I guess. What did the 6 again score end up? I thought they had the first 5 or 6?

For 112 years the game was awesome without the 6 again rule. The 6 again BS has to be the worst rule introduction I've seen in any sport

Before their first try Jared was tackled down their end and the tackler just laid on him with hands in the air. Slow as, definetly could have been a six agroan to us.

Instead after the turnover they then received 2-3 six agroans in a row all the way into our ingoal. 4 nil.

And that's just another example of how sh^t the rule is. The refs can just rule them willy nilly without any questions during the game. Both the 6 agains that you are referring to were absolute BS, whereas the JWH hold down was clearly an attempt to slow the play the ball. No consistency

I said to a mate that we would lead the count for receiving them with a minute to go before half time and as you pointed out it makes a huge difference when you get them in the tackle count.

Been saying this for ages now. It’s a free for all giving the game managers a tool to turn a game they way they are instructed or the way they feel and goes with on with little or no scruituny as it’s applied on the run and cannot be challenged.

Prior to their first try, Broncos had two 6 again calls on their 5th tackle.

So blatant that he was trying to even up the count at half time with a penalty and a 6 to go with a minute left in the half. How does the 6 to go help with one play left??

It's a shitcan rule. Get rid of it...please.

Atkins gave us plenty at different stages too, not blaming him. But its a gun the refs shouldn't have in their holster. Game changers.

Anyone have the six again stats for this season? Tommy Smith?

This is the issue. It won’t show much, just the raw numbers like 3-1 in Broncs favour last night. This looks totally innocuous.

                        But it won’t show:

                        1. Whether it was consecutive or not
                        2. On which tackle it was on - getting one on the first tackle is pretty useless compared to getting them on the 3rd, 4th or 5th which surprise, surprise we seem to concede a lot.
                        3. What point in time it was given - 1 minute to go before h/t or f/t when the game is beyond us? Which surprise, surprise we seem to get. The obligatory even ups.

The Riff game last year, they scored with consecutive 6A after ht when they were up about 6 points, despite dominating h1. And it was late in the count 4 and 3 from memory. Broke our back.

Manly also got consecutive 6A from memory in their first try in last years semi.

Once again, the Roosters on the wrong side of the way this rule is applied. Tell me the ref doesn't have it in for JWH.

Tackle 2 with 9 seconds to go we got our 2nd set restart of the half.

Is that the kind of favouritism Payten was talking about last week that we apparently get or was it the JWH ankle grab?

We consistently get six agains very late in the half just like penalties In saying that many sides use this as a deliberate ploy in games. The issue for us is when this happens we somehow are regularly almost a handful behind in this stat at that stage I dont usually watch every game every week and it would be interesting to see how many are given inside say the last 3 minutes of each half in every game.

Payten was frustrated last week as they did get the rough end of the pineapple with a couple of those sin bins. At least I thought so anyway.I thihght we were favourably treated last week But picking us out with his comments was off the mark as unlike other sides we do not get this on a consistent basis
