  • Paul Momirovski's Post-Match Interview with Freddy - Funny!

Did anyone see Paul Momirovski's Post-Match Interview with Freddy on Channel 9?

It was so funny. Freddy put his arm around him and said 'is everything okay?'

Momirovski was so good about it too. He said 'I don't need a shower. I got a bath tonight' haha!

He'll bounce back next week hopefully.

People forget quickly that Joey Manu got stood up plenty of times in the centres before he evolved into the player we see now.

Momorovski is too good of a player to not go back and improve. It's sad how quickly some of our fans are willing to write off a player.

Ala Lindsay Collins who was good last night.

Not if you're big enough and strong enough.
Haas monstered Butcher ...see how other teams get big defenders out wide?

Improving should be done at Bears, not in FG.
Maybe play Momo on right wing?
Something has to change before the Warriors Game...or the Staggs-ilk backs of the Warriors will run riot...with *all* of Bondi cheering them on.

Momorovski to the right wing outside Manu and Suaalli on the left side inside Toups. Simple.

How did you rate little Drew’s defence on big Haas?
                That will shut you up.

He doesn't have the zip to play on the wing. He's either a good defensive centre or playing for the Bears.

                      I agree..

He doesn’t seem to have much with ball in hand, either he’s a great defender or drops to the Bears!

Gees lucky some of you aren't the coach as there would be a different team each week and players hooked left right and centre during the game - oh he missed a tackled off you come.

It's a 17 player game and if any coach can get all 17 players playing at their best week in week over the 24 rounds then that coach is a absolute genius - of course that wont happen as some players wont be at their best and some will be better than their best (play above their ability).

It is what the rest of the other players will do is the bottom line - how they cover for this and how they play as a collective group to compensate for fellow team mates not having a great day/night.

I am sure they will go over the video with him to isolate areas that require addressing in his defence technique. No need to panic and talk about dropping a player because of one below average game.

It would be a knee jerk reaction to do that which Robbo isn't known for one has to say.

                        Get behind him instead

Momo currently offers very little in attack, meterage and his confidence in defence took an enormous hit last night.

Send him to the minors to work on all of the above

                          Enter Big Joe/ Keighran

Improving is done at the training ground. Game day is for execution.

Momorovski has shown he can execute at the highest level plenty of times. He deserves his chance next week, dropping players after 1 bad game is nonsense. I know Robbo used to cop a bit on here for not dropping players but time has shown there's value not yo-yoing players through the grades but instead giving them stability in an environment where they look for continuous improvement.

Yeah Freddy said he had a Barry post-game but Teddy defended him, noting Paulie had a decent game and wasn't really at fault... Staggs is simply hard to tackle.

Hilariously, Lockyer was talking up Staggs big time post-match and that Fox presenter dude (random - some exec's son or something?) said something like 'he'll be on Freddy's radar for NSW selection for sure ay?' JT looked at Lockyer awkwardly, then Lockyer said 'eeeem... yeees... yes he woulda been for some time I guess?' Was a quality piece of trolling by the random dude IMO - pretty sure Lockyer and JT had a memory lapse about which state he's from while talking him up as a QLD star of the night
