The ignorance in last few posts is mind blowing. Firstly, quoting a bunch of ‘blokes’ throwing around labels in their safety group and comparing it to millions of people who feel anything but safe because of ‘who they like’ is definition of ‘comparing apples and oranges’ and shows complete lack of sensitivity and decency. Secondly, comments of ‘at least it’s not a physical injury’ like on a football field shows ignorance of how many people are abused and bullied with physical and emotional violence themed along the lines of the word used last weekend.
Some of you need to go watch this ad and re-watch it until you understand. https://youtu.be/Y_WcaIkWYuk
Go the Roosters this Sunday. My fav part of 2002 was Warriors mistake of targeting Freddy while Morley was around. There’s only 1 Adrian Morley!

if the recipient of the offence , chooses to be offended they will . a lot will just brush it pff .
i think will chambers gave dylan walker a real hard time last year , walker brushed it off .no complaining, no politicing .
life has never been better for minorities , yet they often choose to be offended by minor infractions. sometimes you just gotta toughen up princess.
If we in society continue to speak like this ( even if just amongst our mates) how do our children and their children ever really get rid of the inherited bias we as tough aussie males have inherited from largely ignorant( on this topic) older generations.
If we keep using homo and the like terms as a sledge on our mates then younger generations keeps thinking less of these groups than they otherwise would.
I am in that same boat of using the terms this way or definitely was - I'm trying to rid myself of that habit though.
I do agree on your point about the outrage and choice of taking offence and taking offence on behalf of etc these days - people seem to want to be on the outrage train but I don't think it's apt in respect to this point.
Back onto the footy - looking forward to the match and seeing the old teams trot around for a lap. The winning white also. How long since we have worn an all white strip - feels like a long time.Last edited by The Lip; 04-16-2022, 08:49 AM.
