Limited in talent but gave his all. With the exception of Big Salvo and McGahan, talent will pretty slim across the team in those days! I think Anasta would actually have him for pace. The fasted Hall moved was when he palmed off defenders....

      Laurie Spina.

Ahh Brendan Hall..He was like Bwaiff in soooo many ways..

Brendan hasn't got a spoon though..

His partnership with Laurie Spina was sensational in 1987 when we got to within a game of the GF..

I remember blowing up when Beetso moved Horrie into the pack, but it worked out okay (except for Horrie getting hurt in our win against Manly, ending his career..)

Hall was good in our Amco Cup (or whatever the midweek comp was called in '87) win..

We were a better team than Manly that year..Injuries killed us at the business end..

He got lost in whatever finals game it was he played in...after he came back from suspension.
He's a rookie, look what happened last year when we played all those rookies.

This is not the game to be making experiments in...especially with NYC players from last season.
He showed promise in NYC...but as yet has not played one game in first grade, ...or Newtown either?
'All' his team mates from NYC last year are playing at Newtown.

If they play him, they'd better hope we win.

If they don't play him they'd better hope we win.
How did he get lost? The Sharks sat two defenders on him all night and he suffered because the playmakers inside him (Littlejohn and Jacks) lacked the vision to see what was going on and either use him as a decoy or put a short kick in behind the line to stop them from charging up on him. I think you're the one thats lost and asleep at the wheel, not Moga.

Throw in these two MAD Qldr's for good measure:
                  Mike Maclean
                  Trevor Patterson.

These two fella had no understanding about self preservation.

We were fantastic that year - should have won the comp.

and a dodgy call b'f h/t that led to a WoManly scrum, from which they scored

                          • Brendan Hall was a very smart footballer and if he just had a couple more yards of pace I reckon he could have represented. And no I'm not drunk.

                            • I agree Red. Theres a few highlights of Hall in this vid I made http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUebbGRegAg

                              Under rated in my opinion.

Not too sure if he worked at the leagues club but he ran the water for us the year after he retired in 1996.
