They were dark days, but I didn't seem to mind back then. Heading into each weekend, I would expect a loss, so if we DID lose it was no drama and when we pulled off a win it was cause for celebration. Still remember how happy I was when David Smith was the Hero at Henson park to beat the bulldogs....

That game against the faiders was the pits. Living in Canberra and all the green machine crap that I had to deal with wherever I went was so depressing. We were a great side in 87 and should have been in the GF as you say.

I remember I had a big crush on Brendan Hall when he first made grade (yes I know, I was young and impressionable).

Great club player - not gifted with great talent but always played whatever role was asked of him. Didn't he work at the Leages Club for a while after he finished up.

As for Kurt Sherlock, geez our dud buys go way back don't they. You'd think we would have learned by now - but no.

This is the problem with success. When we were getting our backsides kicked regularly in the late 80s/early 90s, we looked upon a win as a wonderful thing. Our time with Brad Fittler has ruined us, like being with a ridiculously hot girl then going back to the dogs, quite literally.

And back on topic, Moga is fit enough to play, he's been running with the boys at full capacity, just up to Coach now if he thinks his preparation has been good enough, I reckon he'll throw him in for his debut!

I'd love to see him have a run against the Raiders. They have issues with defence out wide, and Moga could make his debut a memorable one.

How did he get lost? The Sharks sat two defenders on him all night and he suffered because the playmakers inside him (Littlejohn and Jacks) lacked the vision to see what was going on and either use him as a decoy or put a short kick in behind the line to stop them from charging up on him. I think you're the one thats lost and asleep at the wheel, not Moga.

He got lost as such, not the gun centre in the finals [in NYC] he was reputed/shown to be during the season...when the finals teams got serious.
First grade is way above that standard.
I hope he turns out to be the best centre we've ever had, but I wouldn't be playing him against the Raiders on Sunday.

They are a much better team than us and will beat us 'easily', according to Mr Brohman just now on the radio.

Carney should be in the centres and BJ on the wing.

I hope he doesng get to debut next week against Melbourne in Melbourne because it's very likely we will get smashed by the well coached storm team. Better to debut him against Canberra at our home ground but I doubt smith is smart enough.
