Every team in attack from a scrum has forwards in the backline every team defending from a scrum has forwards in their bacline. The game has become 1 out. It's starting to get boring.

3 things i would do if I was the coach.

      1. Instead of 1 out running, I would have all the forwards off loading to a support runner even 2 passes off the ruck. Running up 1 out is so predictable & it's boring.
      2. If the Roosters are in the opposition half & their is a scrum with our feed or a tap kick from a penalty, I would have all the backs in the backline, I would have a move, a run around a cut out pass a switch pass anything.
      3. I would perfect the short kick off. I would have our kickers become the best at it. I would have our outside taller backs trained to catch the short high kick off.
Thank fark your not a coach especially at our club.

You'd be like Opes, you'd last 1/2 a season at best.

          Lol, nah thickeylickey, all good.

          You're entitled to your opinion.

I just think trick plays like those are good for the occasional shock value but will be found out quickly.

I agree the games been bogged down with sameness, but that's the nature of pro sport IMO.

And with our thickheads in our team we'd only fark those plays up.

Unfortunately I have watched them all since 1971, at which point, and this is humiliating to admit, I TURNCOATED from a bunnies supporter to a roosters supporter!! My dad (Jimmy, who is 88 and posts on this forum, and saw Dave Brown run around in the tricolours), and my brother (Spirit of 66) were Easts men and I wanted to join forces with them.

My dad (Jimmy) was a dentist when he was working, and one of his patients was the great Col Pearce, one of the few truly fair referees in the history of league. He got my dad a members pass for the 75 GF, with a ladies' ticket. I was 13, so I turned up in a scarf and sunglasses (in drag in other words) to get past the members' turnstile, with the result I sat in the Noble Stand with my dad to watch the greatest thrashing in history of an opponent in a GF (Bearing in mind tries were 3 points then). Will never forget Johnny Mayes taking the pass from a great kick return from Bruce Pickett to open the try scoring. There was plenty more to follow!

Yer I was there to with my dad sitting over on the Eastern side dressed in my tracksuit but what has all that got to do with putting JWH out in the centres from a scrum when the opposition also have there forwards standing in their backline?

FPN is like the Aussie $$$. His value goes up and down depending on what day it is.

Our pack would be more formidable if JWH was playing out wide. We are definitely missing another Front Rower in my opinion, definitely light up front so it means JWH will have to continue being our battering ram. He has been excellent the past two rounds he has been really putting in. I hope he Re-signs.

Exactly. When Kennedy and Tasi become our Webcke and Civoneceva, JWH can become out Tallis!

Those two props you just mentioned are two of the best in the last couple of decades.

If kennedy and tasi become half as good as them then we should be happy.

I hardly think jwh will be busting tackles the way that tallis did frequently.

I nearly choked on my lunch..a positive comment. And I agree these two guys could be great for us in a few years time. Throw Cordner into the mix and we have the potential for a first class forward pack in years to come. But these things take time. These boys are still young and have a lot of learning to do.
