How are we gonna catch the top-4 teams?

It’s all about attitude. We have as good a side as anyone on paper. But you don’t win on paper. If we take the field with the right attitude we will be up there with Pen and Mel. We lost twice this year against weaker sides because of our attitude.

im worried mostly about our defence, ive seen some yawning gaps in our defensive line this year, which is a concern .

Just saw the Drizz demolish the Sharks in the last 20. IMO both teams (plus the Riff) are definitely ahead of us and we have a mountain to climb this season.

Not saying we can't climb it (IMO we have the best coach and Roster in the comp). However, I'd be interested to hear what some of the more technically minded footy pundits on here reckon we need to do.

I've already heard the excuse that players are coming off injuries and are half-baked. That's fine, but will only last so long. We lost to the Knights + farkin' Souffs, neither of whom are setting the world alight this season.

I know it's early in the year but I don't see the Drizz/Riff using that season. Further I don't hear either using burn-out and stuff as an excuse despite the fact both have been top notch for some time now.

What are our deficiencies and how do we fix them? Also, are we on the right track with our current tactics or does our team need to evolve?

we are the only team out of the top 4. we play as a team and stand together as a team. the others rely tooo much on one or two players.

My take is we’ve just lost way too many quality players to trouble the comp anymore. Add our poor discipline and lack of completions and I’m not expecting us to make the 8 this year. Just too many better teams and too many teams who know how to play us. Our attack is crap so far and defence nowhere near a Bondi wall. Maybe in 2-3 years we will have the goods.

The loss of Fitzy is going to hurt the Roosters the most. His influence on the team is hard t replace. hopefully, they can overcome the loss.
