And even though Sandon Smith didnt shine today, there is something about him. Very sharp and can still mix it in the tough stuff. Looks a 'real' halfback.

24 Hour Update: Trent Robinson has trimmed the team list to 19 players as the Sydney Roosters continue preparations for the Round 7 Anzac Day Cup match against the St George Illawarra Dragons tomorrow afternoon.

Lachlan Lam, Daniel Suluka-Fifita, Kevin Naiqama, Naufahu Whyte and Ben Marschke come out of the side this week, leaving Renouf Atoni remaining on the extended bench.

Adam Keighran is the team's 18th man.

The final team list will be confirmed one hour prior to kick off tomorrow afternoon.

Yes I thought Preston was good also. I thought your man Lam was good in a well beaten team. Those 2 kick offs out on the full really set the tone.

i will say this i quite like the panfas anazac strip , their regular strip with a poppy ... other teams take note ...just on that who the hell is going to beat the panthers ? they really are playing a different game

Was at the game today, very hard as the team changes week to week and at the last minute so hard to form combinations. Bears not great but Sandon Smith has something, DSF strong. I like the look of the big Fiji winger, still raw but you can see in a couple of years could be special

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. They dominated the faiders in that 2nd half like nothing I've seen for a while. Not many penalties or 6 agains either. They just kept forcing them back in defence so much so that the raiders set after set were forced to keep kicking from inside their 30m. Every 2nd set for the riff in attack was pretty much played in the Canberra 20m. It took till the 76th minute before the faiders got their first play the ball in the riff half in the 2nd half. I can't stand the riff, but they played some damn good footy today and probably should have won by 50 with the amount of possession they had in the Canberra half. Gonna be hard to beat indeed

Storm has the game to beat them and possibly Parramatta

You need to match their 80 minutes of footy and do the basics well - High set completions/ limit errors and penalties/set restarts conceded/ line speed and numbers in defence / long kick and chase game.

True they are so complete it needs to be something from left field. To outplay them over most aspects of the game on a regular basis is beyond all teams at the moment. Sure they will lose games but not many as they have shown in the last few years.

We play them in Rnd11, the week after magic round when they play the Storm. It may be the best time to get them, although we are playing Parra in magic round and that also won’t be easy.
