Official ANZAC DAY Match Thread: Roosters v Saints

There you go.
It was a 6 out of 10 game except for the last 10 minutes but again the Roosters were clunky.
If the Roosters dont get to a good lead early & the game turns into an arm wrestle other teams can grit it out better than us.
Things are just not crisp at the Chooks & at this stage the Chooks are a top 5th or 6th side. Its the halves that are the problem the 2 players themselves are great players but playing together for the first time is taking time to gel.
From rd 10 to rd 16 the Chooks season will be determined.

Our games are becoming so boring to watch. Full of mistakes and poor handling. I can forgive Toups hes free to have an off day. Walker tries his heart out. Teddy needs to drop the captaincy. Momoroski lost us the match single handed lay conceding two tries. Suuali had a great game. Keary is in very poor form and should know not to run into touch at a crucial part of the game. It wasn’t really a dragons win. It was a ref awarded win to them. At best we are about 13th on form. No way this team can make the top 8.“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

As I said they had to keep the Dragons to 14 points so 1/2 the job done but gees they lacked patience when in a position to post points as the game wound down - last play Toops passes should have backed himself.
65% Set completions is not good enough and it's not they are playing razzle dazzle footy where errors can occur which affects set completion percentages.
Lots to work on and a game they could have won and maybe should have won
Short turnaround vs Bulldogs on Saturday who will have their 4 covid exclusions backLast edited by King Salvo; 04-25-2022, 07:22 PM.

A tad late in Keary's career to turn him into an organising half when he has always been a running half.
Keary back to 6 and Waker to 7 must be under consideration as it is not really working the way it is now.
Its been 7 weeks now - Robbo said 10 weeks to work their games out - time is running fast.
They would have somewhat banked on being at least 6 from 7 at this stage of the season but instead are 4 from 7 that's 2 games down already.Last edited by King Salvo; 04-25-2022, 07:37 PM.

Really irritates me when Crichton just holds onto an arm or shirt in a tackle whilst making no effort to stop the players momentum or to get them to the ground to slow down the play the ball. Must have happened half a dozen times this game, he’s the one I worry about most because he looks like he’s lost interest and confidence.
