Another thread dedicated to the disaster that is momirovski. Let me add another two cents because I'm so pissed off right now that the Roosters lost to a team that played with 15 men for half the game. The Roosters left centre adds nothing, not even his supposed defensive capabilities. Guess I best get accustomed to him continuing to wear the 3 for the next 3 seasons.

    Prove us wrong please Paul.

The hard truth is, we lost to a very average team who actually played shit and still managed to put us away. I don't know where that leaves us.

I hate bagging players but Melbourne, Wests and a premiership winning Penrith didn't want to lock this bloke up long term. Someone in the club sees something in Momo that many of us and the forementioned clubs can't see

He's not all that bad, but I thought the salary cap space used to buy him wasn't worth it and I haven't changed my mind. Suaali has earned the right to be given a go in the centres. We could be electric in attack with him closer to the action.

He bought as depth to allow Sualli and Billy “always injured “ Smith to mature into centre/wings

He has proved he is just NSW Cup player.. I hope we introduce Karawalevu come round 10.

Alternatively, could we lend Ikavlu from the sharks !

You must be joking. He barely manages in reserve grade.

Genuine question, not having a go at u, but how much of him have u watched in reserve grade? Curious myself. In the limited I’ve seen if him in Rg he looks exceptionally powerful

Billy smith based on what I’ve seen isn’t up to fg and can’t be trusted to stay healthy. Yes I’m gonna cop flack for this but it is my opinion. Going into the future the club has to decide if they want to move js to centre as groom a winger aka VK. Or if they trust players like momo, ak or smith.

Billy has not shown enough, and neither has MoMo - I am just not sure what the better options are? AK or Gus in the centres? Sualli on left centre and Kev on right wing?

This is very much the problem, there is no outstanding 4th candidate for the 3/4 line depending on whether you would play Suaali on the right wing position or left centre.

Momorovski won a premiership playing in the best defensive unit last year. Let's stop pretending like we are so flush with options that he's not a serious contender. All other options have their equal or greater downsides and I'm not convinced yet that it's not just a run of bad form and loss of Momorovski at the moment that's seeing him defend so tentatively.

Watched him play live at North Sydney Oval yesterday and against Parra also live at North Sydney Oval. Plus on tv several times. He is way off first grade standard at this stage.

Momo has been ordinary but he’s not the reason we lost today. We had ample ball in the first 15-20 minutes but couldn’t score. The merge defended well. Then we kept making stupid errors. We should have finished over the top of them in the second half but again more errors and more clunky attack. It was a very frustrating game.

Keighran is not the answer either. I like him, but not a true first grade player.

There is a reason Momo is there, and that is because the brains trust believe he is the best for that position until Suuali/Smith mature.

Can't get succession planning right all the time guys, and we just lost two giants in the Morris boys who leave a gaping hole.

Our 3/4 line will be a bit of a weakness all year imo. Aside from Manu and Toops, the others are very immature and thus will be prone to errors in the interim.
