This isn't usually the case though, he looked average at best/poor against the Panthers, Sharks, Eels and Souffs which gave the Dragqueens a four game losing streak and then barely did enough to beat the Knights and well, he looked like a quality/top half-back against us.
Our standard operating procedure as of late has been to play shit sides and average players back into form.

Correct on all points. As usual, the redv 7 was made to look like a world-beater by the clunky Roosters. He, like gagai, clifford, arrow, and staggs, seem to play better than usual against the Roosters.
The Storm in particular are the greatest Australian sporting organisation this century.
Look at their team. A star spine but...
Meaney
Reimis Smith
Coates
Josh King
Loiero
Moeroa
Chris Lewis
And yet here they are putting on 70pts.
We have a bad game every second week the past few seasons. They have a couple of bad games every year and have barely lost a game they should win in 15 farking years.
Bellamy is the greatest club coach of all time.
Without question, no other team can consistently lose the calibre of players that they do, and not miss a beat the next season.
I love this place after a loss. It really cheers me up.
Agreed... a beer and a swing at the ref always makes me feel better when we get done. I don't think we should be ashamed of this. It's almost part of the fun

We are playing below our expected high standards and its killing me.
But watching the Riff yesterday and now the drizzle tonight, as a lover of the game, I have to admire just how cynical these two teams are/have been.
I wish we could get our errors out of our game. Caz that's the biggest difference between us and them atm. We dominated the dragons in defence in that 2nd half, and showed glimpses of what riff were doing yesterday.
We are capable, just gotta stop being our own worst enemy
I aim to be cynical but I'm not sure these two teams do....
The replay showed 100 % the pass was backward. But I admit it looked forward to the naked eye, so I can forgive the refs on that one.
What I don't forgive is the unshakeable bias and roosters hatred of that prick Ennis and his moron co-commentator, who after seeing the replay that showed the error gaslighted us by declaring it "marginally forward, but that's enough".
Ennis is the most hatable and annoying of all the fox commentators. If only he'd shut his mouth for just a few seconds.
And I also agree that not being able to put away a truly dreadful and talentless outfit like the dragons, also coached by a clueless loser, is hard to take and makes me think this is definitely a rebuilding year for Easts.

My pet hate is touchies ruling on forward passes....they should NEVER be allowed to. All they look at is point of pass leaving hands vs catching point. Completely irrelevant.
It's about direction from the passers hands. If straight (or flat) its sweet as. One bunker look is all it takes. Logistically that process requires some work, but in the interests of getting it right and rewarding good attack....cmon man.

I put Nine on yesterday for a change and all Gus wanted to talk about what number buses used to run through Clovelly..and he got that wrong too..plus Joey Johns waxing lyrical about how many Dragons fans were in the crowd..well yes it was their home game genius...

Apparently the chip in the footy has been a success and I can see that being implemented shortly which will reduce the human error.
I thought yesterday and last week was the first time in living memory where we got the rub of the green with refs. Sure we had a disallowed try and Radley 'forward pass' but overall cannot complain. We might have even won the 6A I think. No excuses.

Disgraceful call. It was a beautiful pass. Radley had to reach back a little which actually confirmed the pass was ok.
Just like the disallowed try v the knights, great play being punished does my head in.

I'll agree that was the first game in a while where I felt we weren't handicapped by the officials (apart from bakers pass)
The first 30minutes was good, the chooks on the other hand......

Yes Ennis is so annoying. He never shuts up, not to mention the annoying Australian strine or should I say stroin. I saw something on Facebook the other day taking the piss out if him and it was hilarious. Something like ‘Talakoi, sloicing and doicing through the manly defence loik a Knoif cutting through butter’ and so it went on. It was brilliant or should I say brolliant!
