The bunker used to be able to rule on forward passes - I remember the prelim final in 2000 vs Newcastle and the amount of replays for the Ryan Cross Try - pass from David Solomona to Mini- The more they showed it the less i thought it would be ruled a fair pass even though it was.

They trialed the ball in the recent NRLW comp but only for data purposes

And on Fox, the roosters hatred is alive and well.

On NRL 360 Paul Kunt insinuating that Toups not being sent off and suspended forever is further proof that the "big teams", particularly the roosters, are beneficiaries of favouritism by the referees and NRL (an absurd theory started by Todd Payten after his side got beaten).

Gaslighting at its best. Like "the roosters prefer to play with 15-nil penalty counts against them - they do it deliberately as it helps them so much" from a couple of years ago.

Seriously, Toups is probably the cleanest player around..when this was happening on field, it reminded me of when Mick Cronin was sent off..everyone was in disbelief..Isn't this the same Paul Kent who complains at how rough JWH and Rads are? How is any of their suspensions considered favouritism..? The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing...

I don't think Paul Kent has any hate or love for anyone but himself, the bloke is a narcissist.

He's just there to be outraged and drive controversial views so that the show gets discussed on other platforms. The sooner we realise this and the sooner his stupid 'opinions' stop giving the show free promotion through discussions on social media and other rugby league platforms the quicker he will disappear because everyone knows he has no intellect or actual inside knowledge of the game.

I watched a clip of him saying that Tom Trbojevic should go to centre so he can 'roam more' a few weeks back. It was very clear when he was pushed on it (and I'm talking about being pushed by other numtpy's of the game like Rothfield and Hooper not actual pundits with analytical ability) that he hadn't actually given his viepoint any throught or real consideration he just knew it would be controversial because of how outrageous and stupid it would be.

Journalists know right now that this Justin Holbrook/Todd Payten "big club" "small club" argument is an easy way to get clicks and attention amongst the NRL fan base so they're going to milk it for everything its worth whilst its topical and then move onto something else. The Mole, Rothfield etc all fall into this category as well of trying to get clicks by driving outrage with no real care for whether their opinion is factual or not.

This is so true R6. They've been milking it for all it's worth since Payten made the stupid comment. Also, that carry on about Toops last night was so over the top. Yes Toops should have been sin binned and given his clean record, one week was probably fair. For once Crawley was talking some common sense but Kent kept talking over the top of him and wouldn't let him get a word in. In fact I'm getting sick of them all talking over the top of each other.

I've heard some fans allege that ...well you know.

This. I have foxtel yet I stopped watching 360 a few seasons ago. They sound no different to liquored up pub crawlers. Just bullying and talking over each other. And as stated, more about shocking sensationalism (which does the game no favours) and very little analysis.

Both shocking calls but my point is - can’t blame the refs for a lacklustre performance. We had our chances more than enough.

You didn’t hear Robbo complaining today.
Sure, but that wasn't a certain try lost.

The replay showed 100 % the pass was backward. But I admit it looked forward to the naked eye, so I can forgive the refs on that one.

What I don't forgive is the unshakeable bias and roosters hatred of that prick Ennis and his moron co-commentator, who after seeing the replay that showed the error gaslighted us by declaring it "marginally forward, but that's enough".

Ennis is the most hatable and annoying of all the fox commentators. If only he'd shut his mouth for just a few seconds.
The refs should be experienced and intelligent enough to know that a pass like that can look forward without it being so.
