Would prefer Mick Delroy on the wing to SloMo.

My man Hutch can still do the kicking, it's just a matter of organisation....players knowing what the plays are.

think i might pick the doggies in the footy tipping comp down at the pub, the roosters have a few out and i haven't been terribly impressed with the way they are going so far this season. Had a couple of hundred on them at $8 to win the flag reckon I've done my dough there the storm and cats are a mile in front of the roosters at this stage of the season

just watched 360 and gould just upped the team then took over the coaching duties that session. fark me they are in termoil.so that means will will get done by them. we always seem to lose in these situations. Just like mildstone matches

Dogs have lost their Captain , Josh Jackson.
Chooks should be able to put a cricket score on them.
I hope so - it would be an ideal opportunity to have Gus Gould and Andrew Johns shut up and stop bagging our team.
That way, they can concentrate on how badly their own hopeless sides are performing.

It will just give them the fuel to say how strong we are against the weaker teams.

Though at the moment it seems we're our own worst enemies.

I find it very strange that we sign up a very Damaging front rower with great ball skills & Offloads, (something that we NEVER see our front rowers do), for 2 years for aprox $150K a year & dont give him 1 game,
I have seen this guy play & he is in the same mold as Sam Moa (But Taller) , this is what Robbo said about him when we signed him up, just a few weeks after we played them last year where he carved us up on each occasion that he got the ball, Robbo on Atoni "Renouf is a powerful ball-runner with great skills and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to the Roosters when our pre-season gets underway in a few months"
WHAT THE HELL ARE WE WAITING FOR ? for our season to finish & we waste $150K top play him in the lower grades ?

I agree. Give Atoni a go.
Besides players usually play extra well against their former clubs and team mates.

TRobbo's weakness has always been his loyalty toward players. Is he too afraid to relegate Collins or, dare I mention JWH and give another form player an opportunity? Perhaps he's too noble to shame them.
Such actions send a strong message throughout the team - shape up or ship out and work your way back into the team. Works at Melbourne......they're all petrified to continually fark up because if Mr Cranky's standards and expectations aren't met then change usually occurs.

I think it’s easy from the outside looking in to say just give him a go without having to own the consequences.

Lets be real it’a not like he’s coming from a great system, he’s coming from the Bulldogs who have treated defending like a working woman in kings cross, everyone gets a try. Sorry that’s a bit crude but it’s 2am.

Robinson has been quoted in the past saying that the club recruits players on their attacking ability & character, they can teach them the defensive side of the game. Now after 7 rounds whether he’s up to what Robinson requires of his middle forwards yet or not from a defensive standpoint I imagine only those inside the club would know. It’s great that he’s killing it offensively but our defence has fallen off a cliff in the past few years and standards need to be reset, I’ll trust Robbo on this one but I don’t think we are far away from seeing him play either. I think there’s a chance Nat Butcher picked up an injury last week that hasn’t been reported and might not play this weeek so who knows but patience is a virtue.

I agree that the defensive mindset was on show against the Dragons.
The forwards played it fairly tight (with the exception of the soft Molo try)
Hopefully the sh*t effort by the forwards against Souffs is a thing of the past.
The forward pack named last week is pretty well the strongest there is.
And Roosters have a plethora of good forwards waiting in the wings - Atoni, Thomas, E Butcher, Whyte, Tuku, DSF , May
Competition for a starting/bench spot is high.
                          Need to trust in Trent.

There has been much changing of the squad lately, why?

What was the official reason from Robinson as to why Jared and Victor started from the bench last week?

I remember when Gould took over a Roosters training session in 2001. We were struggling at the time. We came out and beat the Broncos at ANZ that weekend.

I’d even take the great Anthony Totten over SloMo!
