Keary is still stuck playing like he is a 5/8 & forgetting he needs to just organise the team & leave Walker & Teddy run the eyes up footy. Everyone needs to know their own individual roles & trust in each other & let it all come together like poetry in motion. Our defense isn’t so bad and fitness is not a problem.

Walker should be half back and taught to play there.

And I'll repeat... there's literally no difference between a #6 and a #7 jerseys
Keary is our vice-captain, not Walker. This is the main difference in their duties. As I understand it:
- Walker gets given all the exciting plays where he's expected to conjure something up.
- Keary does everything else, robotically and is working towards becoming a Cronk-like halfback. He did this in 2018 and 2019, winning him two premierships.
- This is Robbo's gameplan (and Cronk's). Whether Walker's wearing a 6, 7, 14, 23...etc, his job is the same. This may anger a certain pill-popping commentator who loves trolling Freddy and his halves as he's an 'immortal' number 7. Cool, but I think Cronk and Robbo have got this covered without his input.

I remember last year when we lost Keary that we couldn't win because he wasn't steering the ship.
This year we can't win if he is steering the ship.
If a few balls stuck on the weekend and we won by 18 the same people would say Robbo is a genius.....until we lost our next game of course.

I loved how Robbo handled this at the presser - rudely and dismissively as he should have.

I keep reading how the Dragons were outstanding and roosters rubbish. Yet, the Dragons scored a simple try off a bomb and really didn't look likely for most of the match. The difference was a penalty goal. I thought Easts looked most likely all 2nd half and made easy yardage, just couldn't nail it. Defence was good against a Dragons team that were on, set for set yardage was good also..and I did think we were stripping them often but just couldn't nail the executions.
I think the roosters strength will come when the week to week grind takes over the teams currently in the tussle for the 4 - 10 positions (which Easts are) then they will start to work their way into the top 4 - 5 teams. The depth grown from last season will be a huge advantage. But I don't think they can match the top 2 and can't see them doing so.

Yes well I like Keary playing 6 on the left and passing left to the centre and Toops.
Read "how we won the 2019 grand final".
I want my 'lethal left side' back.
Momers can be Latrell, ...Keary, Toops and Teddy are still there.
You can't de-program Keary now.
Keary can't now be turned into Cronk...but Walker can be.
Everything is mixed up atm, the glove is turned inside out.
Everything is back to front.

Well said Nic. The Dragons took up where they left off v The Knights the week before and they were on. The Bunker rewarding The Saint's centre (?) after he had a rethink in D but who was never gonna stop Walker's try and the "forward" call on Victor distorted the result of the first half. In the second, the Chooks were always coming to get them but poor handling got in the way far too often. There were a couple of dubious decisions which went our way but someone might be able to explain why, when we had them shot, Saints were not penalised for the rag doll on Walker. I thought that a player had to be on his feet when taken over the line but Walker was clearly picked up and dragged over.

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The Falcon cannot hear the Falconer;
things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
mere anarchy is loosed upon the world.
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
are full of passionate intensity.
W B Yeats. Sounds like he mighta been a Rooster supporter.
