The teams that have gone back to running block plays are scoring more points out wide, Mean while we struggle with a 2 pass to Teddy running side ways and running our centres and wingers into the sidelines and leaving no space.. Oppositions are shutting our outside plays down with ease... We need more decoy runners/options and Teddy needs to straighten up/draw defenders and leave more outside space... Robbo needs to get with the program...

Fair point, but can we really expect our halves to execute block plays and go out wide when our forwards can't seem to make any metres or make a dent on the defensive line ?

It could be a reason as to why we're going sideline-to-sideline because we're unable to effectively go up the middle, hard and direct, hence no other choice but to use an outside play option, which as you've said, recently hasn't been successful.

Most other teams seem to be having success with running the old block plays and if we look at the few teams in question, Penrith, Storm, Sharks and even now the Cowboys, all of their pack seem to have an effective game plan in relation to running in attack (with speed, aggression ... repeatedly) and laying a platform/base for their halves to work and come up with something creative.

We have spent plenty of time attacking opposition goal lines in 2022 with plenty of space out wide and yet we still go coast to coast with 2 passes to Teddy and him running our outsides into the side line... While opp defences eat it up...

I was thinking Teddy is running too much/often. We look like the Tigers when they were a one man team with Teddy trying to do it all.

Straightening up instead of running our outsides into the sidelines would be of some help,,, Ad more options/runners would be better again...

There's no doubt the game has reverted back to what it was pre the 6-again ruling from PVL.

The ball is "in play" less, the rucks are much slower and the momentum of the game is much harder to turn around.

We are doing a good job of getting in the grind and earning opportunities, its just our execution in good ball that's letting us down.

Only the Panthers and Rabbitohs have had more play the balls in the opposition 20m zone than us so opportunities certainly aren't the issue.

Block plays had become boring a predictable, Were the go to when the Storm where playing the slow boring ruck control footy a few years ago... Block plays are back and Robbo needs to get on board..

A backline that boasts names like Tedesco,Tupou,Manu,Keary and Walker should not be struggling to score points!

Especially considering the amount of ball we have had in the opposition 20 metre line over the last 3 weeks, against teams below us on the table..

                    Something just doesn’t add up!
