Not sure what is wrong with Gus lately, on his day he is a top 3 Second Rower.
Unfortunately this year and most of last, his day is becoming too inconsistent.

Both him and Sitili love to arm grab when attempting a tackle, makes defending hard when it's Sam Walker and Luke Keary on the outside.

I would give anything to have Aubs and Cordner back.

If we offer him a significant pay cut, and the Queensland teams offer him a significant pay rise, the difference could be as much as $400K a year.
If those are the numbers, know what I would be doing if I was Angus.
And I would not blame him, either.
That would be joining the Bromwich Brothers in sunny Qld.

Thought he was at his best at Souths, seemed to always be busting a line and in the action, thought he was quicker and had a good step when with them,

Not sure if we chose to change his game, but never seemed as explosive with us.

He had Big Sammy Boy in his team then. Sammy had the aura & young blokes like Crighton just wanted to play like him.

This talk about B. Smiths contract. Is it Bi. Smith or Br. Smith?

Wasn't Angus at his explosive best when he was an edge runner?
Didn't the Roosters try to change his game, teach him to be a middle, because his work rate was too low.?
If he joins another team, will they have workhorses in the middle, which will allow him to get on the edge again?
Will he then become an explosive runner again?
                    Does anybody know?
Does anybody have a crystal ball handy?

It will be interesting to see if Robinson plays this card.

Angus ain’t a lock, his passing isn’t up to current standards.

                          Good post.

I remember toward the end of 2019 was when I finally saw what the fuss was about him. I was at that prelim against Melbourne at SCG and Angus was carving.

I spose edge runners are like halves - when their middles are dominating they look much better.

Angus has really only fired for us for half a season every year. The good news is it's been the second half of the seasons!!! Why he is such a slow starter to the seasons i don't know but im glad its not the other way around
