I completely agree with your logic the only problem I see is that after 6 games and a bucket load of rain predicted it could be a bog track.

if it rains the whole weekend, then by the time it gets to our game (game no.7), the field will be looking like a cow paddock !

If the field deteriorates because of the rain, and it gets chopped up ,there is a good chance that could lead to injuries ( more specifically, knee injuries).
If that happens, all the NRL clubs and supporters will be up in arms.
Magic round won't be so magic.
And it could be the end of the concept.
I don't know why this eventuality hasn't been thought through by the NRL - its obvious , isn't it?

Well I know how, I watched the Knights game live at the SCG and simply could not believe how badly we played.

The Dogs and Knights were awful tonite.
They both beat us, so what does that make us.

Vision of Cronk in action was shown on Fox yesterday in Magic Round replays.
His magic was clear.
He's supposed to be coaching our halves.
One is entitled to ask where the magic is...where his plays are...why our attack inside the 20 is so poor.,
It's a common criticism on Fox..."the Roosters have no attack".

Because Cronk was Cronk, and there isn't any other halfback like him.
You are right, there was always a big player running off Cronk, and it was often a running second -rower.
At the Storm, it was Ryan Hoffman, who scored a mountain of tries.
At the Roosters, Mitch Aubusson scored a number of tries off Cronk passes, without hardly a hand being put on him.
Different halfbacks see things differently, and have a separate vision of opportunities , when they are on the field.
Cronk was a rare beast- I think you will find that its pretty hard to duplicate exactly what he did, into another player.
Also Cronk is a different build to Walker , so Walker can't do what Cronk did, and Cronk can't do what Walker does.

The one positive I can see is there has been some brilliant individual play and return to form by some players recently.
