If we can play "the Roosters Way" and maintain a completion rate of 75%, we will win. If we play "the Roosters Way" with a completion rate of under 60%, we'll get thumped.

What worries me most is that "the Roosters Way" increasingly means a completion rate of under 60%.

I think the eels might be getting sold a little short here, any team that can beat the storm and panthers are the real deal. They are solid right across the park with no real weaknesses unless the coaches son is playing 5/8.
This will be our biggest test of the year to date and we are going to have to improve a lot on what we have produced thus far to beat them.
Looking forward to us playing quality opposition to see where we sit.

On a side note with Parra WTF were they thinking letting their 9 go next year
Massive mistake he is a quality rake and they should have done everything possible to retain him.

Our form’s not good enough to avoid a thrashing in my opinion. We let in soft tries against weak offences and can only seem to score against Titan like teams. Eels are no Titans. I’m looking at a minimum 35+ thrashing on current form. Would be great if we hit top form and won but so far this year that’s more fantasy than reality. Top teams won’t let us get away with such a poor completion rate. I hope we win but I just can’t see it happening on current form.

And both of those wins were away wins.

it is our chance to lift and show we should be top 4 contenders, but the game against the bunnies where there should never be any complacency, We were trash, so I have no confidence in what roosters team will turn up.

if it’s a top game, I’m happy enough if we go close, but fall short, I’ve always said if we turn up to play and lose, that’s just footy.

our back 5, should have their back five covered, opacic,perham,simonsson- surely we are better there.

halves- at the moment, they got us covered.

forwards- on papers should be a pretty good match up, but JWH,sitili, rads have been pretty average and their hooker trumps ours by someway.

should be Parra by 10, I’ll go chooks by 8.

Do we really have any chance at all of winning given that the first few penalties and set restarts of all our games *always* seem to go to our opposition?

JT was going off his brain after the Eels v Panthers game about that Knock on by Kikau and following try.
                    He mentioned "bias".
This could lead people to ask if the Panthers win games because of refereeing bias?
Are the Eels classed as a "teacher's pet" team?

The first penalty in our Titans game (against us) was a joke.
                    Titans scored soon after.
There were other joke penalties against us.

If the Eels get favourable refereeing agajnst us we have no hope.

Other than the round 9 clash last year when we got physically (illegally) smashed by them we tend to go well against the eels. Hope the trends continues this weekend.
Alas, I feel it will be the same this week. Rads and JWH will be pinged for tackling above the bootlaces while Keary and Walker cop 'accidental' high shots.

signs are good - keary had his best game of the season last week and if we can match them in the forwards we've got backs to carve them up

Honestly feel we can cause an upset this week.
Trent did say our attack should be starting to click by round 10.
                          Here’s hoping it does.

I thought the score against the Titans flattered us. The attack is so disjointed and we are still weeks away from being at the level of the big guns......., as well as Parra.
