I can see it happening, something tells me that Munster would see it as a huge challenge, the way Cronk did.

Nathan Cleary is far superior to Keary as a halfback.
Luai, Munster, Brown & Walker on his day are as good if not better than Keary at 5/8.
Reynolds & Cronk were the halfbacks when Keary played his best footy those 2 blokes were the reason Keary was the best 5/8 in the game but not anymore.

Can't believe some of the comments here. People willing to toss Keary & Walker out the door very quickly.
- Munster and Keary are both 5/8s
- Keary is trying to transition into a half AFTER suffering an ACL injury.
- Walker is the best young half in the comp.
- We have lost a lot of experience in the last year, especially in the forwards. This is our real problem area. You can have the best backline but if your forwards are being dominated....
Give things a chance people.

I cannot believe how fickle this place is, and how all the commentators take into account form over the last couple of weeks , and nothing else.
And I will also say that I would NOT swap Keary for Munster in our team.
What I have observed when watching the Storm, is that when their backs are attacking, a lot of the "money balls" that lead to tries come from Hughes, and Pappenhauzen (who comes into the three quarter line as an extra man).
Munster is a brilliant runner, and he is more of an individual, and not a team player.
Granted he has looked the goods in the last few games, but it is easy to look good in a team that is firing on all cylinders.
As far as I recall, Munster hasn't really been anything special over the last couple of years.
He will also face a little bit of adversity without Pappy and Remis Smith in the Storm backline in the next month, so he will need to step up.
Then he has to play Origin for Qld, and in the last 2 origin series he didn't show anything to me, that had me impressed.
Keary on the other hand is a proven performer at the highest level, and I think that both he and Collins are just starting to find form after the ACL injuries.
( Chookpen posters even said Collins needed to play reserve grade - FFS.- On what he is showing, I think Collins will get picked in the Qld Origin side, so that is a huge turnaround !!!)
Back to the Keary vs Munster debate- I will reserve judgement on their credentials until the next 8 weeks are up.

Munster is 27 this September Luke is already 30 (February). IF Munster came to the chooks for season '24 he would be going on 29 , Luke 32....Sadly Luke will be getting to the twilight of his career, but would Munster be worth more than a 2 year contract turning 29? I dont think we would consider it a smart play to sign him...
