Only the hotted up transfer market makes all this a discussion nowadays. Player trades are the game’s new economy, driven by SuperCoach and the fans’ thirst for improvement.
This line describes a lot of who frequent this joint

Munster would a get a lot more opportunities to kick Joey Manu if they also trained together !

So Kent writes this ‘scoop’ article for tomorrow’s Telecrap and then spends a whole segment on 360 tonight telling us all it’s all wrong and not based on actual fact.

Contracts can be negotiated if both parties are happy to negotiate.
Agree Walker should be a 10 year player for us.
Munster is a freak, he dragged qld to an origin series with a lesser team.
I love Keary but the Dolphins joining the comp is going to lead to a lot of player movements, would certainly help our long kicking game.

So we are going to replace one 5/8 with another 5/8, bcaz we need a halfback???? BS story by Kent

On 360 tonight, Anasta (Munster's manager) denied it, and Robbo confirmed to Kent that it isn't happening.

                  I call bullshit.

This has Anasta's name written all over it. I'm sure he told his mate 'Kent' (who he sits next to and works with on a weekly basis) that the Storm are about to make a counter offer for Munster, can you spring up some crap linked to the Roosters and spark a rumour about Keary, Angus and Jared to make it sound viable/logical ... just so I can strong-arm Melbourne and get the most amount of money for Muster (my client) ?! ... please mate

Get stuffed ... this is a desperate business move !

EVERY MAN AND HIS DOG WHEN IT COMES TO CONTRACT NEGOTIATION TIME ALWAYS SEEM TO BE LINKED TO THE "ROOSTERS" !

Something I did find interesting on 360 tonight was the rumour, that apparently the Dolphins have signed a number of players, but are keeping their names secret for the moment. Apparently the Dolphins are doing this in order to stop any controversy for them while they are at their current clubs this year

Yep guessing Munster's management team's just trying to inflate his value.

Just won't happen. He doesn't fit the culture on the account of him being an absolute tool. He is a good player yes, but he is a 2006-2010 Roosters signing more than he is a Robbo era signing. He is in an amazing Melbourne team and I think his hooker, halfback and fullback are arguably equal or greater than he is.

The bloke is likely to be offered 1.2m plus by the Dolphins or Melbourne. Teddy isn't even on that, he has expressed disdain for Sydney and is a QLDer. Comparing him to Cronk is laughable. Different player, different person and in a different time of their career.

                          Lol Rubbish.

Munster is still under contract for next year at the Melbourne Storm. Amazing how many people don’t realise Munster isn’t out of contract until 2024, Anasta has done a great job.

I’m not sure what the angle is but seems like Kenty is doing one for his mate, either trying to cause some conflict between Melbourne and Munster to advocate an early release so he can join the cash cow that is the Dolphins or pushing for the Storm to offer him an extended contract earlier under pressure of “more offers and interest”.

Anyone who thinks the Melbourne Storm would do us a solid and release Munster a year early is deluded.

That’s without even getting into the fact that the signing would make no sense for us.

The Sydney Roosters are considering signing Jizzy as part of their legal team. QUICK! Somebody tell me boss so that they offer me $$$ to stay.

(Hint: my boss would say 'good for you mate... bye!')

Its likely the former. 100% convinced that they are trying to get him up to the Dolphins. As you said his contract runs for another year and a half and this talk happens to coincide with him in career best form rather than the mixed displays he was showing last year.

It suits Munster to go to the Dolphins to be closer to home and make a huge payday. It also suits the NRL and the media to peddle these rumors to get interest in the new franchise. The powerbrokers would like nothing more than a mega signing to the new project team. He will play for the Dolphins or stay at Melbourne for unders. There will be no other outcome I'm sure of it. I'd put us around 13th or 14th most likely to sign him in the NRL lol

When the Roosters signed Gould on big dollars back in the 90s they got a fair chunk of it back through Gus smacking the pokies at the leagues club. Could be the same thinking with Munster!!

Seriously a great rumour about him being courted by Nick-it should net him a extra $500k at the Storm or Dolphins
