So because the penalty numbers over the last 20 years are against the Chooks that has stopped them winning the comp every year?
Come on mate the Chooks havnt always been the best side & its not because of the refs & the penalty counts. They lost this year to St George & Canterbury because they played crap not because of penalties.
Even with the most penalties against in 2018 & 2019 the Chooks won the comp, they won the comp because they were the best team.
Like I said It all works out in the end the best team over the full season 99% of the time wins the comp.

I noticed we received only one 6 again against Parra and Sutton is the ref this week. He really likes the camera like no other ref.

One of the things about six-agains is it's basically a penalty. Teams would mostly prefer a penalty. In close games it gives a team the opportunity to kick a penalty goal, but the referee can at one end deny a team that chance, and at the other end award a penalty that results in two points that may decide the game. For that reason alone, it should go!

It didn't work out for the Roosters in 2014. We were minor premiers & got absolutely hammered in the prelim with penalties & calls against us against South's. Never given a fair chance to go back 2 back. If 6 agains were around then it would have been 15-2 or something like that.

Yeah my bad I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. I thought you were saying it all evens out ie the penalties bias and obviously that hasn't but that's not what you said.

With Sutton managing the game this week, at least we can all look forward to the token 6 again call going our way on the 1st tackle in 39min of the first half

Mickie did say that 99% of the time the best team wins the comp. The 2014 season was the other 1%

I wonder if we can bet on that

Sitili was hit in the head, face front on...clearly shown on the video.
                      Ironed out good and proper.
I fail to see how Sitili can be fit to play this week.
Radley would've been suspended for 6 weeks for that tackle.

Total agree hit him straight across the face - Sitilli shouldn't play he has had at least 3 concussions the last 12 months and has played the following Saturday the other two times.

                          Indeed.
Thought we'd learnt something from the early retirements of Friend and Cordner.
Thought we were the "player welfare comes first at Easts" club.

People could argue that some teams are the best because they win games on the back of set restarts/rolling set restarts.
...and penalty counts heavily in their favour.
Oh, and have their numerous forward passes ignored by the refs.

Hmmm so the Eels are obviously a very disciplined team as Manly got Zero 6 agains tonight. We got 1 last week. Are the eels the 2014 South's ?

The leg up they got tonight was criminal.
