May looked good but so does Suluka-Fifta who imo has improved on last year. I think DSF was a bit stiffed to be dropped for May. The problem is these two young blokes and Baker need game time so who misses out?

The same people who rate Baker, are the same people who rate Butcher. Both wonderful team players, try their heart out, but truly offer nothing other than a nice pass and a few tackles every other game. May and DSF are giants, and the tonic we need to get this forward pack rolling, as sighted in the limited minutes they have played this year, they have looked great

Baker has a good motor and is versatile. He’s a diesel and can play longer minutes than all the others such as Suluka-Fifita, Tapuha and May. He also has subtle ball playing skills and good footwork allowing him to play in the middle and on an edge. That’s why Robbo picks him over the others.

DSF does that better than Baker imo

I like Baker in the 17, he offers something different to all the other props we have. He has good leg speed and mobility which means he can get in behind the ruck very similar to what Isaac Liu used to do so well for us.
He needs to improve some of his tight carries when hes hitting it up against a set defensive line but if you think Fifita needs to be in the side because we're not getting over the advantage line then that's up to Taukeiaho, JWH & Collins... drop one of them.
Crichton is already pretty much playing as an extra prop out on the edge anyway so feel like adding DSF at the expense of Baker would just make us even more one dimensional.
Personally I think we are doing a pretty good job in yardage and I don't get the concerns. Our lack of ability to build momentum in sets has more to do with our edge play than our middles.

Trent needs to explain it to them.
